I'm now a usual customer for breakfast, Sun exposure is perfect, café is ok, fresh juice and croissants are good. Staff is very friendly and warm. Aperitivo and dinner is very good, nice quality but maybe a bit costly though..as all places in the area.

We are the osso bucco and the mushroom risotto here which were both excellent. Prices were average for what we had been paying in Milan. The staff were very helpful and friendly and squeezed us in without a reservation. It's situated in a lovely spot in Navigli right by the canal.

My husband, my sister and I had dinner here after seeing Madama Butterfly at La Scala in Milan. We took the excellent Metro to get there. The cafe/bar is located in the Porta Genova section near a canal. I had Sicilian style sardines which came with a huge salad, Mary had pasta with clams, followed by cod balls served with... More

Ate dinner on New Years Eve; food quality was mediocre, service was great until 11:30pm. All tables were told (not asked) to finish their drinks/meals immediately to accommodate more people inside the bar. After spending over €150, we were rudely pushed around inside as staff aggressively rearranged furniture to then proceed taking shots together behind the bar. Decided to stay,... More

It was cosy, It was December so we sat inside, in the summer I imagine it would be a very nice place to sit outside and have a lovely meal. I use to have my lazy Saturday and Sunday breakfast here, enjoying my cappuccino and looking and the morning activities at Naviglio Grande. Unfortunately during the weekend they have limited selection of brioches, but they do have croissant with chocolate and also salty version, croissant with ham and cheese that I take sometimes when I want to remember Lisbon as... Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
