I was looking for a yummy mexican restaurent in Milan and I found this one, read the reviews on tripadvisor and it seemed good. It is actually the first time that I've been to a restaurent that has good reviews and actually was a nightmare. I made a reservation for 19.15 and when we arrived it was closed. It said... More

The outside of this restaurant belies what's inside. An unassuming exterior but upon entering on a Saturday evening revealed a lively atmosphere with a mixture of groups and couples. I suggest you make a reservation if its a weekend. The place was packed. We had the mixed starter, various deep fried thingies served with four delicious dips. The dips were... More

This somewhat quaint Mexican restaurant is located in a very travelled street, making it easy to find. The staff is welcoming and more than willing to help you understand the menu. We went for 'Festa della donna''... and had a fun time. The frozen margaritas were a bit watered down, but as we asked for more tequilla--which was added to... More

This restaurant is a good option for a dinner with friends. the atmosphere is the typical tex-mex with some local details here and there. The food maybe is not the most authentic mexican...if you have been to mexico you may find some difference in the flavour, but i think they have properly adapted the food to local tastes. Nothing is... More

If you are living in Milan and looking for something different than Italian this is a good change from something other than pasta. It's not authentic Mexican but it was pretty good anyway. We moved here from Dallas so we know what Mexican food really is. The margaritas were pretty funny. They were good but I wouldn't really call them... More

In ancient Mexico City, the Spanish conquistadors discovered a new kitchen indigenous to their palate, where corn, chili and tomatoes, beans, spices, avocado were the basic ingredients. Mixing ethnicities and cultures, were added rice, beef, potatoes, chicken and centuries so was born the modern Mexican cuisine. Papas & Beer Milan was born here in 1999. Tacos, burritos, chili con carne, enchiladas and the famous fajitas are just some of our many dishes, enriched by the experience of years of work. Not forgetting the traditions, however, we have been able to meet the needs of customers today with tasty salads and vegetarian dishes. We have added a touch of novelty in the dishes, but in essence we were true to ourselves. At Papas & Beer everything is color, atmosphere, fun, as always. And our staff is here for you. We wait.

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
