For fine dining and wining, this is the place to be. Not touristy, regional food, romantic garden and really good wines. We had pasta, vitally tonnato and semifredo for dessert. Highly recommended!

Slightly off the beaten path (not so touristy), with a lovely garden in the back. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious.

Great place, great service, good choice of really good food... We had Tuna with veal (specialty in Italy) and Pasta that were extremely good. There is a backyard hidden from the street with vineyard hidding the sun during lunch...Highly recommended !

Lovely Ristorante Piemontese is a little more expensive than the run-of-the-tourist restaurants in Stressa. It is also better and hence it's frequented by more of a local well-heeled clientele than average. The decor is establishment with wooden panelling, pillars and elegant framed pictures - many of which are tasteful nudes. The food was superb, finely seasoned subtle classic piedmontese cuisine... Beautiful decor, old famous wine bottles, lovely wooden inlay walls and an enticing eating salon, some good ratings ..a well crafted spiders web. The food took close to an hour to arrive, when it did it looked shriveled, and tasteless. The worst sea bass we ever tasted, minuscule vegetable portions with it, also over cooked (microwaved like) and mushy. I... More

A quiet romantic setting in a lovely charming room. Service friendly but restrained - good for romantic couples. Food really unique - e.g spelt pasta with rucola pesto - very distinctive flavours. Prices reasonable given quality of dishes.

I reviewed Ristorante Piemontese in March 2016, and when we found ourselves again in Stresa after several months, the earlier memory having left a pleasant lingering pull, we found ourselves again at a spacious table having this time reserved in advance. What was last time a 4* percent experience is this time much much better, one of my best meals... More

Terrible place! No atmosphere and service was awful I would go as far to say down right rude! Nice soup but that's the only positive I have! I had the bacon and rosemary pasta which was so salty I couldn't eat it and paid a whopping 28 Euros for it! Do not waste money in here when so many much... More

The kamut tagliatelle, ossolana bacon, garlic, and rosemary on our menu costing EUR 13.50 and not 28.00. In view of this I leave to those who will be kind enough to read the considerations about the tone of the review. More

Aussie family here on holidays. This restaurant was recommended by the staff at Grand Hotel del illes borrommes. Pleased to discover that despite its place as restaurant number 37 on trip advisor, it was well worth the visit. I had the eggplant salad which was fantastic. The bread selection was impressive, and the tomato soup appetiser was tasty. We ordered... More

We had lunch here despite reading adverse comments on TripAdvisor. We are so glad we did. Forget the bad reviews, this was the finest food we found in Stresa and the service was exemplary. Great value wine list with really helpful advice from the waiter.
