Ambience is incredible, we sat in the little upstairs garden, very romantic.
The staff was very cordial and attentive, and suggested some great meals and wines.
The food was amazing, the best we had in Sirmione, I wish we had gone back on our last night, definitely recommend!

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Sirmione. We found it to be the best in the area of those we ate dinner in. The setting was lovely in the garden, the staff were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drink, which was slightly different from other restaurants. Would definitely recommend

We found this restaurant in a secluded alley in the town of Sirmione, very close to the ferry terminal.
It is truly a gem.
Our waiter clearly knows his stuff and has a real passion for the regions' wine and food. He was comfortable assisting with recommendations on both food and wine to match and that certainly enhanced our experience.
We shared a beautifully prepared scallop entre. I had the beef rib eye and my wife the turbot fish dish. Both were great and with wines matching the meal, we enjoyed them a lot.
We shared a light and fluffy chocolate mouse with raspberry to finish off the evening beautifully...and a sticky to match.
If you find yourself in Sirmione, you need to book. We saw upwards of 7 or 8 groups that had to be turned away disappointingly because this restaurant is popular.
It's worth the phone call to book in advance.
Oh and by the way, the wine list is exceptional !!

We came here because of the good reviews, but I never had such a bad service in my life. I have ordered steak in every country I’ve been to, but never paid so much for such a bad quality steak. The meat came out extremely thin, chewy and had no juice left although I ordered medium rare. I tried 2 small pieces and asked the waitress politely to turn it back and change for another dish. To my surprise, she told me that no one ever complained on this dish, and seemed very annoyed. She didn’t apologize and was very rude. When the bill arrived, we were surprised that the steak costed half the price even though we turned it back almost immediately. We asked her politely again and she insisted on that we were wrong and the steak isn’t bad. She treated us as if we were idiots, already since the beginning because I couldn’t drink alcohol and my husband only ordered a glass wine! The food is bad, the atmosphere was good but the service is just terrible! I never wrote a bad review for restaurants but this unfortunately ruined our evening. I RECOMMEND NOT TO GO TO THIS PLACE! Other restaurants in Sirmione have much better customer service.

On entrance i was greeted by an obnoxious waiter that treated me and my wife with disrespect and poor service Automatically he had made his decission on our class. Immediately we felt out of place and put a unpleasent feeling on our mood to the point when we felt like leaving i asked politely for attention as he was with no one and cleaning a table to where he came and addressed us in a rude manner telling us to wait he is not a slave. Wow . As we had already ordered we felt compelled to stay .When the meal did arrived I ordered the Rib eye fillet Medium to well which turned up Mooing and just about walked of my plate. The I returned the Steak which turned up the same piece hacked up i had returned on a new plate recooked. For a 4.5 Star Restaurant this is the only place I have felt is below 2 Stars. Maybe because we are not locals it felt we were in the wrong space . The city is such a wonderful place and beautiful experience i will not let one man destroy our stay . Do yourself a favour Enoy one of the other many Restaurants in town . Not recomended .

Staff is really friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere of the restaurant is good however the food is below expectations and the menu greatly overpriced. We picked the fish of the day but it wasnt really tasty rather an average. We had also a pasta with duck sauce it was little bit greasy and average taste.

That the menu does not offer any vegetarian options is still hard to understand in 2021, but that the waiter categorically refuses to offer an alternative is astounding.
By way of suggestion, he smugly told me, with an attitude that explicitly showed that I was annoying him, that I should take a normal dish and remove the meat/fish.
The result was a tasteless, fatty and expensive pasta dish. Because yes: no scallops but still 17€ to pay. For a pasta dish with fatty almonds.
If you expect being respected for a small thing that is what you can or cannot eat, don't go there.
Shameful service, offensive waiter.

We came to this restaurant from a recommendation from the BnB. We received a warm welcome and a nice table on the upper level. We were given the menus and decided on our wine and meals but no one came to serve us. We asked politely for the attention on one of the waiters (the male waiter with glasses & moustache) he was rude and unfriendly from that moment on. He looked unfriendly the whole time we were here, the other staff were much nicer. Our meals came and my husband ordered his steak medium well done and it came out medium rare. He tried to eat some but sent it back. It came back with his original half eaten steak on a new plate! Have never seen that anywhere in the world! Ps. My duck was perfectly cooked & delicious which is why I gave two stars not one. Unimpressed overall which is a shame as our travel through Italy so far has shown nothing buy friendly hospitality.

Turned up without a booking because the restaurant we had booked was actually closed! Very serendipitous. The atmosphere was great with really helpful waiters and good music playing. Went for primi and secondi plates. Rigatoni with cuttlefish and artichoke sauce plus spaghetti with pecorino and hazelnuts were delicious. Fish of the day was superb amberjack, perfectly cooked, with small white onions. Dolci of zabaglione and strawberries with gelato yummy. Great local wines, liquors and coffee. What a lucky choice. Highly recommended

Me and my wife had lunch in the garden of Osteria al Torcol. It was a very hot day and after ordering our food we noticed that there would be a better table near an air cooler. There were only a few customers at the moment and at least 10 free tables. So we asked the waiter if it is possible for us to change to another table. Surprisingly, this request was too much for the arrogant waiter. He answered that changing the table is not possible. We got no further explanations or excuses.
When the food came, it was just fine, but because of the unprofessional behaviour of rude waiter, we cannot recommend this place.

There is not a huge menu, but with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes most people would find something! Every dish is cooked to order and the waiter will help you choose. Amazing wine list! We usually ask for advice, and are never disappointed. Lovely setting with tables outside. The quality of the food is exceptional for the price. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints!

Dined here early June with reservation .
Can I firstly say the food was very very good interesting menu and tasty food
The restaurant was fairly busy and whilst we got off to a good start ordering and receiving main dishes there it ended.
No offer of desert or coffee and a struggle to actually make payment (seemingly the wi-fi was an issue)
To be fair a complimentary Limoncello was forthcoming
We felt we were given less attention due to the fact we weren’t embarking on the tasting menu as the table next door were

If the menu describes a pasta with “scallops”, there should be whole scallopS, not what was no more than ONE scallop cut into tiny pieces and stirred into the pasta. Misleading and a cost saver for the restaurant, but a never return and would not recommend for this customer. My dinner mate had a fish pasta that had tiny bits of fish and bones stirred into the pasta. Ridiculous.

Reserved table wasn't ready. Seated on a cramped patio next to a speaker. Oyster pasta had only 1 oyster. Fish pasta had a terrible fishy taste with bones thrown in. Maybe we were served the leftovers? Very disappointing.

I was in Sirmione for the day with my wife and it was absolutely packed with people. Fortunately this place is tucked away from the hub bub of the waterfront - what a gem, a calm a relaxing lunch! The service was friendly and the food fantastic, authentic and not the tourist type food some places serve. There are a lot of hit and miss places to eat in Lake Garda but this is one of the standout good ones.
