We stayed at the palace hotel and looked for a place to have dinner. The front desk suggested Sociale and we were very impressed. The previous night visited the one star Michelin restaurant near by and this place was 1/3 the price and just as good. Granted the Michelin restaurant had great service but this place was very good. The... More

The service is professional but not too friendly. The food has just been average: the meat (grilled veal paillard and pan fried veal liver) of ordinary quality and the side dish (vegies out of the steamer) luke warm and like in good old England years ago: no taste at all. The wine by the glass has been of rather poor... More

If you have the opportunity to eat here- Do it. We had such a great meal here. We walked in with no reservations but they seated us anyway. We went to a room upstairs that was empty but filled up quickly. They have a beautiful fireplace in the room. We had wine, pasta, wine, veal and more wine. It was... More

Bookings are essential on weekends. The greeting was warm and inviting and we were shown to our table, after ordering drinks, the the specials were explained. This was a delightful meal, two simple dishes cooked to perfection. The calves liver in butter sage sauce was cooked perfectly with the merest hint of pink in the centre,it was sensational if your an offal lover,... More

We found this restaurant after reading reviews on here and we weren't disappointed! Close to the Duomo the restaurant was a fantastic find. Menu was full of classic Italian dishes and if it hadn't been our last night we probably would have gone back as I was totally spoilt for choice including quite a few daily specials. Antipasti - fantastic... More

Very central but in a quiet street near the Duomo. Wonderful prosciutto, salami, risotto and veal escalope- in fact everything here is probably really good. Service is typically first rate Italian, charming and professional. Lovely selection of wines; a beautiful wood-panelled room which lends warmth and coziness. A treat - go!

We tried that place for dinner following travel guide recommandations. A warm and smiling welcome, delicious food at a very correct price. The waitress was sensitive to our allergies and suggested dishes in consequence. Very appreciated!

Sadly, we wanted to like this place very much, especially after reading the reviews and getting a personal recommendation. However, we've had far better Italian food in both Paris, Geneva and heck, even New York. The staff was very friendly which compels me to give it a three star review versus two. The quality of the food was average, the... More

Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. It was an easy walk from our hotel.
