We had dinner at the Trattoria San Giacomo on a very busy night in September. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious. In particular, the waiter recommended an excellent wine to accompany our meal and it was actually one of the better value...wines on the list, which I always think is the sign of a very knowledgeable sommelier!More
The food was delicious with many options to accommodate everyone, including a vegetarian. The fish of the day was so fresh and flavourful. The staff couldn’t do enough to offer translations and recommendations - even opening a bottle of wine not yet on the menu...on request of a glass of Sauvignon! A must visit when in Bellagio.More
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and it did not disappoint. The food, location and restaurant are all really good. The staff are really upbeat, friendly and speak English. We had a really pleasant lunch. Expect to part ways with a few ££...if you eat as much as the Italians do.More
Tripadvisor says they're closed; don't believe them. They are very much open and the food is really good. I had osso buco and polenta, my wife had fried lake perch on rice, then apple cake for dessert, all superb. They don't take reservations and there...are only 10 or so tables in the place. Off the beaten path up one of the stairways in Bellagio but well worth the climb.More
Good standard Italian food with vegetarian options for a reasonable price.
Deservedly popular. Menu has good range of appetisers, first and second plates and deserts. Extensive wine list.
Starters we had very good salads- caprice and rocket. Followed by ricotta and spinach ravioli the vegetarian...option for me which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
We also wanted butter with the bread so just asked and it was brought quickly.
Desert was good.
Service was good friendly and patient with our beginner level Italian which the back up that our waiter did speak English if we got stuck! Our meal 3 courses took a comfortable 2 hours and cost around €60 for 2 people including drinks so pretty good especially for the quality of food we thought.
