Cheap food with great location, in the heart of Bergamo Alta, staff is very friendly. Try the spritz, very mainstream but it’s delicious

I liked it very much (still sitting as I write this). It’s early Saturday morning not even 10:00 but it is so nice, so cozy and peaceful. Ordered a macchiato which was excellent as it also was a small tart and a croissant (what I...was hungry spear me). The service was very quick and polite (spoke English also if you are wondering). For a relaxed morning coffee before you start your day it is the one place to be!More

One of the best coffees in Piazza Vecchia, the Old Town. Immersed in a historical setting and an interesting and warm atmosphere of past glorious times. Somewhere you can still find locals sipping their coffee and eating a strudel cake.

Historical cafe in Bergamo that dates back to 1476 . Very nice location with tables in the Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo Alta. Apparently one of the oldest cafes in Bergamo.he interior is decorated in an interesting way, dedications and photos of actors and stars on...the walls. It is not expensive, it has its own atmosphere, the staff was nice. The best cappuccino I've had in recent times. And the perfect tiramisu for that. You must come in here for a coffee and something sweet.More

Had a day visiting Bergamo Alta, fantastic place filled with historical sites , churches, museums, traditional and modern restaurants, and architectural beauty at every corner. Decided to have lunch at one of the oldest caffe/ restaurant of the area and I didn't regret it at...all. The entrance is a typical coffee shop offering tasty pastries and local sweets ; and at the rear, the dining area. Really cosy place , the feel at home type. Had the traditional tasting menu consisting of Casoncelli ( traditional ravioli of Bergamo) and the second dish was a delicious Polenta with cheese and cold cuts. The menu also included a glass of wine , coffee and dessert. The food and service at Caffe del Tasso is just great. A place I shall definitely go back to next time I'm in Bergamo.More

Really old cafe, dating back centuries. Head here for breakfast whenever in Bergamo. Set on Piazza Vecchia and always a great experience.

Tucked into a corner of the Piazza Vecchia, this is a smart restaurant with a long history and tradition. We enjoyed dinner here one evening and ate very well. Be aware that portions are very generous!

Beautiful coffee in a warm, inviting and cosy atmosphere. You feel the history as soon as you walk in through the main doors. Very reasonable prices considering the historical building.

We wanted a lively relaxed restaurant that served good local food and del Tasso was perfect for us. We had a table in the lively bar and although the bar and restaurant were both very busy the service was friendly unhurried and helpful. It has...a short menu of local foods and the helpings are generous and well made. We had a risotto of pumpkin and prawn which was delicate, sweet and very tasty and a pasta with boar and cocoa which was robust. Glasses of red and white wines were both excellent and we really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were warm and welcoming and the atmosphere equally warm.More
