We dined here as two couples during our stay in Santa Margherita. It was recommended by other guests at the Grand Hotel Miramare. The only lady waiting seemed stressed and almost all the other diners seemed locals. Soup was served which was average. Main course was grilled sole again tasteless. My wife enjoyed a desert of Tiramisu. The worst area... More

We walked past this restaurant and lucky to get a table. We were only tourists in on Saturday night. Place packed full. Husband and wife ran the floor with great ability and friendly. Really good food. Many eating seafood which looked great but we chose pasta. Best tiramisu so far.

Recent visit of an evening, whilst staying at Grand Hotel Miramare. Restaurant is a five minute walk away up a back street away from the promenade. Comments made by Hilary D mirror our experience almost exactly in that the lasagne was small and uninspiring. Veal main course was passable and sea bass was enjoyed although, again, a small portion. Desserts were... More

We were lucky to stumble upon this little restaurant while taking a walk in a less touristy neighborhood. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we returned for dinner. Nothing fancy - just well-prepared dishes using fresh ingredients. The owners are lovely - at each meal they brought us complimentary appetizers, both were delicious. If we were staying longer we... This restaurant in one of the back streets is obviously used by locals as well as tourists and is a typical family run restaurant. Our dinner started off well with a free appetiser - delicious - but unfortunately the rest of the meal wasn't that good. We probably chose the wrong things but the lasagne was a very small portion... If you are in town, and want a simple yet elegant dinner, you come here. I usually don't care for lasagna, I ordered fish but other family member ordered lasagna and it came as delicate as wonton skin. Very comfortable here whole family with small children, will come again.

We spent 1 night in Santa Margherita in order to visit Portafino (HUGE waste of time) on our 3-week trip in Tuscany. We loved, loved, loved Santa Margherita. And this restaurant is a gem. The owner and his wife treat you like family. They bring out appetizers while you're waiting for your meal that you didn't order nor did we... More

We were looking for a great meal and were on our way to the Michelin restaurant across the street from this quaint restaurant, and took the detour. So glad we did!! unpretentious delicious meal started with Fresh Melon & Proscuitto, and a fantastic Mussels in brodo to die for....next a fresh from the ocean branzino and salad from the garden... We had a wonderful meal here with tasty lasagne, really fresh fish and amazing tiramsui. The owners were really attentive and helpful despite the lack of our Italian and their English, but this was not a problem. The food tasted home cooked in the best Italian way and was great value for money.
