This has been our best meal in SM Ligure and possibly one of the best during during our 9 days in Italy so far. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's a casual, family and pet friendly place. We had prosciutto di Parma e melone, trotie con pesto and pesce spada con pomodori e capperi, each one amazing and... More

The food here is excellent, no more,no less. Typical Ligurian dishes at reasonable prices, as is the wine list. From the outside it looks like some sort of food shop, inside it opens out into a basic restaurant. You then realise that the only other customers eating there are locals, taste the food and understand why. Unless you speak Italian... More

No fuss no frills just really good cooking from an Italian kitchen just like mama makes. The locals frequent here. Great value as well.

We visited here for lunch and are so glad we did! It looks quite small from the outside but opens up into a large dining room. Our waiter was excellent and helped us with food choices, recommendations and translating the specials board! I chose a delicious chicken stew from the specials board. My dining companion chose a fish dish and... More

Walked around S. Margherita and wanted to avoid the tourist traps. Found it. Genuine Mama and Papa food. Daily changes. Good service. Huge variety at very reasonable prices. Something for everyone. Very happy we stumbled on it. Thoroughly recommend.

We stumbled upon this gem whilst in Santa Margherita last year and couldn't wait to try it again. It didn't disappoint, the food, the staff, the waiter who explained everything made it just a great experience. It might not be the fanciest of places, however the quality of the food and charm of the restaurant and staff more than make... More

I had the lasagna bolognese and it tasted like sauce from a can! I also had a tomato salad which was tasty and a traditional local dish with veal and peas which was okay yet barely warm. The people who work there are grouchy with no personality with the exception of the waiter who speaks English!

Thank you Paula for your review, We're sorry you didn't enjoyed our lasagne. Here's "home made cooking" restaurant and every morning we prepare traditional dishes following grandmother's recipes for 52 years...and the bolognese sauce is made in the same way. The veal you tried, (i'm sure our waiter explained) is a typical Christmas dish, and we usually eat COLD according... More

This small, family-run establishment is in the center of town and offers a wide variety of dishes. Menu is in Italian and English. If you are lucky, Igor will serve you. ( fluent English). Wine is ridiculously cheap. Not a white tablecloth place or fine dining but good food and filled with locals. Good fish choices.

Extremely busy Easter Sunday, but we were well accommodated as most other places were closed. Kids ordered lasagne which they enjoyed and we shared a penne with prawns and zucchini which was very tasty! Other meals included grilled pork steak, cotoletta Milanese- crumbed steak and roast lamb all were very good. Don't expect a fine dining experience but if you... More
