We mistakenly thought that all restaurants in Portofino were top quality. This is not the case. Il Pitosforo food was less than average, service was terrible (starters came all at different time) and meals were very expensive. Don't come.

This restaurant has possibly the best view overlooking the harbour situated on the first floor, but this view comes at a price. The meal was reasonable but should have been excellent at the price; it was spoiled primarily by an incompetent waiter spilling our seventy euro bottle of red wine over one of the party, but the sting in the... The food isn't above average but price is very high. A coca-cola can costing 8 euros is really out of reality. Also they charge 5 euros for coperto and more 15% for services. Not recommended at all

I went there with my fiancee and my son. We had 2 pizzas, one shrimp antipasti, 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffes. Food was really low quality. The same was the wine. Staff was rude. The location is nice but the place looks very old and definetely need refurnishbment. The bill was 140 just ridicolous for the quality of... More

In terms of location, nothing can beat Pitosforo. The view of the bay is breathtaking: tables are on a beautiful large terrace at the end of the Port where you can enjoy the view of the entire village. Just unique. Service is fantastic, very very kind team. Food is good, try for sure scampi alla Portofino. Recommended for special events... More

No doubt that this place had the best location in the harbour. Probably just as well because the food is nothing special (although the the prices are!). We had a starter to share, main course, one desert, coffee and a bottle of local wine. 200 euros for two. And I hate when they add "copperto" to the bill. In this case... More

The restaurant is not easy to discover from outside however it has an excellent scenic view of Portofino bay and the town. The atmosphere is excellent; I was amazed by the music trio .(violin, harp, tambourine players) and their music. The food is fantastic with different ligurian specialties; of course it is full of fish and pine nuts.

The view is the only thing you get from Pitosforo. Food is less than average in the area and price is twice as high. Service is VERY BAD. It looks as some unprofessional young people have rented this spot for the high season and are trying to make business by pretending to be a restaurant. Very far from what they... More
