On the recommendation of the hotel, Locanda dal Moccia La Spezia, we stopped for dinner. If you didn't know where it was you might walk right by...don't !There is no formal menu.  The chef comes out and gives a couple of options for antipasti, primi, secondi, etc. The food was fresh and excellent. Knowing a few words in Italian wouldn't hurt,... More

Very good restaurant for either meat or fish. The chef comes to your table with suggested meals (try the cuttlefish spaghetti with black sauce, phenomenal). After the first course is finished he comes around again to suggest the main courses. Antique furniture and tables contribute to a relaxing atmosphere

Chef came out to take our order , no menus all just fresh off the top of the chefs mind, very simple but delicious home cooked authentic good, we were surrounded by locals, even a nun was there! Gluten free homemade pasta was divine along with home made gluten free bread! Will definitely return!

The Chef ,the service and the food all was the best of my 14 days in Italy. The price is far too small for all these. You should try it.

There's no menu. The chef (and I believe the owner) himself gives his suggestions for a very good dinner. The food is well presented and fantastic cooked.

Very nice! During 4 days my girlfriend and I we visited a couple restaurants in the neigborhood of Parco dell Colombaio. This one had the most personal approach, very friendly and family-like. The owner suggested our menu and cooked it himself. Best of all, he offered it as completely gluten free, even the desserts (so we could share - we... More

A very grey experience. No vegetables, pasta and some fish sauce for 8 euros is not ok. Good local wine though and nice to sit outside.

The chef planned the meal for us and we were pleased with it. We were not keen when he mentioned onion pudding but it was surprisingly good. The other dishes were also good. I will recommend this restaurant

My wife and me have been there 3 times and we always eat very well. The cook in person came always to tell what he had freshly available for that day. The portions are not aboundant but very well prepared and price/quality is very good! Unfortunately, they are limited from the number of hovens availble and, therefore, a bit slow.... More
