We where recommended this restaurant by our hotel. It is small restaurant with a familiar atmosphere. The Carpaccio was a huge portion and it just melted in my mouth. There was a mix up with our main course but it was quickly fixed by the male waiter. We also had a young female waitress, but she was more occupied resting... More

We went to Osteria for a dinner with friends when we were on vacation in La Spezia. The owner met us and escorted to the table. The service was outstanding! I ordered mixed sea food starter - 7 different dishes were brought and everything was very tasty. My friends ate octopus, tuna, and seafood pasta - and again the taste... More

To make sure you get the seat of this restaurant, call and book. They are quite short staffed on the busy weekend night, so be a little patient. We had 1 antipasto to share, it was a very nice seafood dish comprised with small 7 different dishes. All tasty and fresh. We also ordered 2 secondi, one was the tonno... More

Don't bother coming here when they have places but don't bother giving you one. Went to the restaurant at 7pm and the lady said it's full house for the night (no customers are there at all). So I called and one of the men staff picked up and mentioned that there's table at 7.30pm and they're not open yet for... More

No written menu, as the chef/owner explains to you, "I am the menu", and he goes through with you what is on offer. For starter we had fried fish, which was very yummy. For main we chose the baked sea bass for two, it was a good melt in the mouth choice, served very simply with delicious roast potatoes. We... More

This restaurant is central and offers nice food. It is clear that their clients are locals, and so cater to them. As tourists, we felt the waitress was dismissive and somewhat rude to us and others, while giving clearly different service to Italians. Luckily, the gentleman who seemed to be the owner, was pleasant and friendly. That was enough to... More

Perfect in every way. Venue, service, atmosphere, location, food and drinks. No menu, you get offered the dishes of the day for starter and main course. We were brought 7 separate appetisers of squid, octopus, langoustines, king prawns, anchovies, razor clams/ spoots and a delicious white fish dish followed by two mains, a squid and pasta dish plus a spaghetti... Best food I've had in Italy. Amazing prices as well. You have to make a reservation to get in immediately but it was well worth the wait if you don't.

We went there because of the good reviews we read at Tripadvisor. Keep in mind that it is difficult to find a table without prior reservation. The restaurant has no printed menu, so if we hadn’t read the reviews we would feel a bit insecure to order without knowing what we are going to pay. Thus we followed the advice... More
