My husband and I really loved it. We got sea bass and pesto as our mains and panna cotta for dessert. Prices were reasonable and service was fast. Meal was delicious and we loved the dessert. Food was also not too salty which was great....Pls note you will likely need a reservation for dinner. Would go back if in La Spenzia!More

This restaurant was recommended by my Airbnb host. The food was so delicious that honestly I felt that I ate mediocre food for the past months/ years. So what was so special? Well, I love anchovies, and that happens to be a Ligurian specialty. Hence...my first plate: Anchovies four ways . Grilled, marinated, also some sorte of paste on bread, they all tasted incredible. I forgot the fourth way. The second course was tagliatelle with pesto. Again, so fresh and tasty! Last but not least, smoked fish carpaccio. A huge portion! A powerful end to this food symphony. No room for dessert. The damage? Only 36 Euros. Fantastic value for fantastic food. It’s worth going to La Spezia just for a meal there. Reservations recommended- I had one.More

We had very high hopes for this restaurant, as the menu looked excellent and it was always busy, with reservations required even mid week. Overall the experience was disappointing. The starter (anchovies 4 ways) was really good, but the main courses (octopus and pork) were...average, the fish and meat themselves were good, but the flavours of the sauces were very bland. Service was poor, they had no record of the reservation, and put us on a table for 4, which is probably why the whole experience was so rushed. We had starters, mains and a carafe of wine but we were there less than an hour between arriving and leaving. Mains arrived before we had finished the starter. We might have caught them on a bad night, but I wouldn’t try again.More

A place with a very cosy typical Italian interior and some really nice food. I recommend the pasta there - it was very, very delicious for a very good prize.

Food was ok but the staff seemed uninterested. No menus, you’re offered a QR code to look at it on line. But the 4G was weak, and no wi-fi was offered, so the waiter had to take the chalkboard round to everyone instead.

We were a gropu of 19 people having just arrived from Pisa. I had pasta there, really good food! But I didn´t like we had to pay just for one bill together, they didn´t give as a personal or particular ticket for what we had...ordered, so we had to be calculating what we had had and adding each one´s money to the total sum. I think this is not fair. Then, as the restaurant is under the ground floor, althugh I see it´s beautiful, I consider it is not convenient for anyone with any mobility problem. I prefer more light, no steps.More

We came here because it was the only place it was open at 9:30pm from our list in TripAdvisor. After coming inside to ask for a table, we sat outside. There was no menu rather than one blackboard which was going from one table to...another. I asked for ravioli and pork. My girlfriend asked for some fish. We didn't see any pork, which was on the bill, but never on the table (they removed it from the bill with no problem). The ravioli was decent but nothing great, but the fish was dry and full of fish bones (please, try to add some salt to the fish, it tastes so much better that way). Bread was dry, they charged 2 euro for service and 2 more for tap water.More

We ate in this restaurant one evening on a trip to visit the Cinque Terre, using La Spezia as a base. We had made a booking which was fortunate as the outside tables were full. I ordered the sea bass from the English Menu. The...menu is on a chalkboard, English on one side, Italian on the other (as we found out later). When it arrived after a long wait, it was full of bones and, although it tasted OK, it did not taste or look like sea bass. I gave up halfway through as I had found one too many bones the hard way; by the gums, teeth, and palate method. The rest of the meal was unremarkable; the (white) wine was good and reasonable. As we left I took a snap of the Italian and there it was: "Orata alla griglia" - Gilthead or Sea Bream, not Sea Bass. The meal was OK but we got the impression that the kitchen is lazy and they are trading on their good name. Also, the maitre d' was in a rumpled pair of jeans and a sweater that had seen better days. Verdict: not worth a detour.More

What a wonderful ristorante this is. Spent a couple of days in La Spezia, which has plenty of restaurants from which to choose - and ended up having lunch here after not being able to get in for dinner the evening before - and it...was so good, I came back for a repeat experience the very next day (and risked missing my flight later that day from Pisa.) The food is excellent; fresh, local, tasty and exquisite - as food made from fresh, simple and local ingredients can and should be. The food (and wine) speak for itself but the atmosphere and the lovely staff also deserve a thoroughly worthy mention. If you miss this place whilst in La Spezia, you’re doing yourself a major disservice.More

Woow ! the food here is REALLY good, freshly made and people are very nice. Be sure to reserve a table . The menu is not very large, but in my opinion, that's a good sign ! Also, dinner is very affordable. ENJOY !

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we booked it again for our last night in La Spezia. The service here is second to none, they are super busy, and yet still manage to be friendly and attentive. We...recommend the cheese board starter with the black truffle honey, oh my, it was mouth-wateringly good! Don’t forget to finish your meal with a shot of their home-made limoncello, it’s like drinking an alcoholic lemon sherbet 🤤. Great value for money, make sure you go here!More

We came for lunch without a reservation. The lunch menu is limited but interesting - stuffed mussels and fish carpaccio particularly good. A bit adventurous for our two youngest, but a delicious tomato pasta was made specially for them, and our older son enjoyed his...roast pork. A great value and quick family lunch.More
