We came here because it was the only place it was open at 9:30pm from our list in TripAdvisor. After coming inside to ask for a table, we sat outside. There was no menu rather than one blackboard which was going from one table to...another. I asked for ravioli and pork. My girlfriend asked for some fish. We didn't see any pork, which was on the bill, but never on the table (they removed it from the bill with no problem). The ravioli was decent but nothing great, but the fish was dry and full of fish bones (please, try to add some salt to the fish, it tastes so much better that way). Bread was dry, they charged 2 euro for service and 2 more for tap water.More

We ate in this restaurant one evening on a trip to visit the Cinque Terre, using La Spezia as a base. We had made a booking which was fortunate as the outside tables were full. I ordered the sea bass from the English Menu. The...menu is on a chalkboard, English on one side, Italian on the other (as we found out later). When it arrived after a long wait, it was full of bones and, although it tasted OK, it did not taste or look like sea bass. I gave up halfway through as I had found one too many bones the hard way; by the gums, teeth, and palate method. The rest of the meal was unremarkable; the (white) wine was good and reasonable. As we left I took a snap of the Italian and there it was: "Orata alla griglia" - Gilthead or Sea Bream, not Sea Bass. The meal was OK but we got the impression that the kitchen is lazy and they are trading on their good name. Also, the maitre d' was in a rumpled pair of jeans and a sweater that had seen better days. Verdict: not worth a detour.More

What a wonderful ristorante this is. Spent a couple of days in La Spezia, which has plenty of restaurants from which to choose - and ended up having lunch here after not being able to get in for dinner the evening before - and it...was so good, I came back for a repeat experience the very next day (and risked missing my flight later that day from Pisa.) The food is excellent; fresh, local, tasty and exquisite - as food made from fresh, simple and local ingredients can and should be. The food (and wine) speak for itself but the atmosphere and the lovely staff also deserve a thoroughly worthy mention. If you miss this place whilst in La Spezia, you’re doing yourself a major disservice.More

Woow ! the food here is REALLY good, freshly made and people are very nice. Be sure to reserve a table . The menu is not very large, but in my opinion, that's a good sign ! Also, dinner is very affordable. ENJOY !

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we booked it again for our last night in La Spezia. The service here is second to none, they are super busy, and yet still manage to be friendly and attentive. We...recommend the cheese board starter with the black truffle honey, oh my, it was mouth-wateringly good! Don’t forget to finish your meal with a shot of their home-made limoncello, it’s like drinking an alcoholic lemon sherbet 🤤. Great value for money, make sure you go here!More

We came for lunch without a reservation. The lunch menu is limited but interesting - stuffed mussels and fish carpaccio particularly good. A bit adventurous for our two youngest, but a delicious tomato pasta was made specially for them, and our older son enjoyed his...roast pork. A great value and quick family lunch.More

The restaurant has a terrace, but the experience is in the basement where the heart of the restaurant is. As you go down the stairs into the restaurant, you feel as though you are descending into a wine cellar but a clean wine cellar with...clean white walls... Really terrific feeling and then you see the rows of tables all carefully spaced out, no doubt to comply with the corona regulations. The menu... is corona proof... it is a big blackboard that the servers set up at your table.... one side is Italian... the other side English. It's a no frills restaurant with a very enjoyable red house wine. We had the, I think it was, linguini with pesto. In this part of Italy, you simply have to try the pesto, as this is the source... It was delicious though... We then had custard and red berries, which too was delicious and as tradition has it with us, we finished off with a coffee and a grappa. We were so delighted with the entire experience that we immediately reserved for the subsequent evening. I must add that the servers are very pleasant and helpful and very efficient and the bill was extremely reasonable, but I mean extremely reasonable.More

Don't recommend - crappy service and food was not fresh. Had to ask for glasses, cutlery and multiple times for the check.

This restaurant was recommended to us and since it had such a good Review we gave it a shot. We knew we had do make a reservation so we did that. So we arrived, and the waiting began; 5 Minutes to get a table, 20...minutes for a unfriendly waiter to show up and ask for drinks, another 10 minutes to get the water and another 20 to get the wine (with glasses I would never give to any guest, they were dirty and both were broken on the top, but obviously nobody cared), then we ordered food and waited another 30 minutes. We had Black Pasta with Mussels which were really good! And a sea bass which I had more time to pick all fish bones than to eat. After we sat there in front of our empty plates, we waited 45! Minutes and since no waiter showed up I went inside to pay and leave. Well, we thought they were really busy inside but as I looked there were only 5 tables occupied, and with 3 waiters that should be more than enough! Finally, we can't recommend this place even though the price is ok for what you get, but the service ruins the whole night!More
