Lovely place and good food!

The atmosphere is really cool, looks like a medieval bar, and the walls are full of old books, interesting place. The food is nice, tha aperitivo is really big.

Non particularly tasting food- confirmed by those who had meat and fish alike. Yet quite expensive. One pasta plate came to the table half empty - and the bill included things we did not consumed. When we complained, one of the owners even started arguing. Overall Genoa can offer much more, both in terms of food quality, customer service and... More

Recommended by Lonely Planet as being a wine bar located in a quasi library setting for the intelligentsia, we were keen to seek out this cafe. You would struggle to find it were it not for the recommendation, the doorway being tucked away in one of the narrowest caruggi near Piazza San Lorenzo, it truly is a delight as you... More

Recommended to us by a local friend, my friends and I ate in this restaurant and absolutely loved it. It's all you want from a cosy Italian restaurant. The staff looked after us and generously offered us a few things and truly welcomed us to Genoa. As the culture wants it, we had Spaghetti Pesto and it was insanely good.... More

Even though we found a almost completely empty place we wanted to give it a shot. However it started and ended with a disastrous waiter...we never saw any wine list or were asked wether we wanted to drink anything else but water; the water bottle was filthy and had to be send back (we are not very picky people). The... More

We enjoyed a delicious affordable lunch and loved the restaurants furnishings and decor. We couldnt stop looking around us! Its rare to find a place like this. Tasty food. We had 2 main courses,water,1 coke and 1 wine for 20 euros. The coke was expensive at 4 euros - the wine was only 2!!! Tip - drink wine - not... More

We've chosen this place for a late easy aperitivo/dinner in one of the week days. When we arrived, most of the tables were empty and yet we had to wait for a table. It took a good half an hour before somone brought the menu and another half an hour to get finally the starter we have ordered. After that... More

We went to this restaurant in September 2012. At first we were reluctant to head downstairs into the complete unknown, but are so pleased we took that leap of faith. We were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable maitre'd, who explained the menu in English, and with absolutely pride in the ingredients and the chef, his knowledge of wine was... More

I was there first time a year ago, and was apsolutely in love! Food was great, the owner would come to our table to chat, and overall atmosphere eas very friendly and cosy. Year after, food isn't so great anymore, or we hit a bad day. They changed some great dishes. Service was very slow. I hope this will change... More
