Very nice restaurant a few minutes by taxi from the port. Service was excellent, setting was nice and the food very good. The waiter also knew his wines and recommended me a good dolomiti wine for my seafood risotto, this is always a plus! Would definately return.

We came on the recommendation of staff at our hotel and had a great time. I believe everyone else in the restaurant were Italians, so we finally managed to get away from tourists! The patron made us feel right at home. We went with the recommendations of staff and had food I'd never have eaten at home, like a baby... More

The patron, quite rightly, spends more time talking with his local regulars and the good point is that the restaurant is very popular with locals. Tourists don't frequent this area. It's a lovely restaurant and the waiters try hard to speak English. Food is beautifully presented. The lobster was excellent but I found the veal was nicely cooked but a... More

Every time I go to Genova which is my home town ( I am living in Nairobi ) I make sure that I go either for lunch but preferably for dinner to Ristorante San GIorgio . The food is particularly selected and excellent , the service is good and the ambience is smart . Also the selection of wines is... More

We had a lovely meal at San Giorgio this week. I found the restaurant by looking at the ratings and reviews and booked a table by telephone. This was a wise move because it is very popular. I couldn't get a reply on the landline but used the call phone number listed on their website and that worked. The staff... More

I love restaurants that use wine bottles as wall cover/decoration. Also ones that dont play music and have a great atmosphere on entry. This place was OK before we walked to our table. The vibes were right! Thats not to say the evening passed without us having a laugh. The waiter took our wine order, but they all looked puzzled... More

We were struggling to find a nice restaurant open on a Sunday evening and our hotel (Meliã) suggested this place. On arrival the restaurant looked nice and we were greeted and seated by a pleasant young man. Menu had a good choice and fairly priced. A plate of assorted breads was put on our table and we were given plenty... More

If you like seafood then this is a "must visit" in Genoa. Food is outstanding, waiters and owner very friendly and the place itself due to its size very nice and quiet.

Food is literally amazing! The place is small but clean and elegant, the server is extremely nice and helpful; great choice of wines and Champagne. Mostly for fish lovers, they also have few choices of meat but we have not tried them. Desserts are among the best ever tasted but over and above the others, the Sacripantina is to cry... More
