A mandatory stop in Genoa. It's my second time at Da Maria. The quality of the ingredients is top tier, the service is great and the price is low, maybe too low. It's not easy to find but the search is worth it 100%
True atmosphere and genuine simple food. The restaurant is hidden in a narrow street of the city center and when you enter you jump in the past. You feel at granny home and you van eat together with unknown people. A real social experience. Popular...prices for a tasty menu.More
This restaurant in one of the few places where you can experience the taste of Ligurian tradition.
Food is healthy and tasty.
You never eat alone..you can share table with locals and tourist.
Waiters speak different languages and service is good. I recommend to arrive...early (1pm as maximum) specially on the wknds. Enjoy it!More
Came here for our final meal in Genoa. We didn't have a booking, but they managed to squeeze us in at 7.45pm on a Friday night. Service was brisk and friendly, and I loved the hand-written menu, which one of the staff kindly ran through...in English for us. Almost too much choice. Probably wouldn't order the stuffed vegetables again (weird, tasteless filling), but various pasta dishes, beef stew, patate fritte and house wine all went down very well. Great, unpretentious atmosphere and excellent value for money. Perfect way to end our trip!More
Really liked my lunch here, had the lasagna con pesto and then an octopus salad. Both were delicious! The staff was super nice and I thought the price was quite good for a sit down restaurante (Genoa is more of a street food place), including...a drink and two courses! :) Maybe style of the place can discourage some looking for more modern feel but trust the locals who fill up the place, the food is great!More
A very popular restaurant in an alleyway in a busy part of town. We ordered the €10 price fix which includes pasta, entre, and vino. A good deal, but it wasn't to our liking. Maybe bland is typical of Northern Italian, but maybe you will...have better luck than we did.More
Don't ask me what I had because we didn't understand a word from the menu, the waitress recommend the food for us and it was excellent, to bad we weren't so hungry. We had to choose from a list a first dish then a second...and with wine it was 10 € per person.More
