We wanted to buy something vegetarian. The owner did not speak English, so it was difficult to understand what is inside every dish. It looks like in Italy eggs are considered a vegetarian food and not a meat. So we took some tart with artichokes, and owner said that it's without meat, but later it turned out it was with... More

I've stopped with some friends in this " No frills" little restaurant close to the main shopping district and train station, and we ended up eating genuine and traditional "Genovesi" tasty dishes. Friendly service and budget prices Try farinata and fried anchovies!

As another reviewer, Piccoloni, has very eloquently pointed out, this is a real surprise of local gastronomic excellence. We also stumbled in, just following the crowd. Standing room only in front of the counter, which only has about three tables adjacent. But we were ushered into a back room that was behind their kitchen and past an astonishing pizza oven... More

Couldn't believe the fabulous food we sampled in here. It doesn't look much from the outside but the food more than makes up for it. It has all the Genovese goodies that are too numerous to name. The staff are lovely and help you choose what you want. It's clean and not overly pricey.

Regular food, average in taste. Too expensive. The staff were nice, but I wouldn't visit this place again.

We love the food here and we also love the fact that most people don't know it's even there (might have blown that then). We found it by accident when they were full at the front, which they often are. Outside it just looks like a typical Genovese fast food outlet. Genovese fast food is in no way anything like... More

We came here a few years ago (found it by chance) and liked it so much that we returned on our next visit to Genoa. Both times we ate at one of the three tables in the front room. Both times we had their excellent farinata (which, by the way, is gluten-free). This time we added a dish of grilled... More

Very simple: a cross between a "farinata" and "focaccia" take away and a restaurant. Large portions, quality ok. Rabbit with olive was quite good and farinata as well. Cheap and absolutely no frills.

I don't normally review restaurants, but this place deserves it. I was in Genoa for four days, and had awful luck with food. Everything I ate was low-quality, overpriced, or both. I got a two course meal (albiet with two of the lighter dishes), with a few drinks, for 11 euros (plus service, which wasn't included in the bill -... More
