Food it’s good service nice friendly owner welcoming ,but ask for price's for everything. Because we 2 people eaten scrambled eggs and 2 Bruschetta 1 one latte and 1 one granite payed 35 € I think it’s to much for breakfast 😬 and the owner...say they don’t have menu just say what you like and he will make it. But it’s can be overpriced.More

Everything about this little cafe at the end of Vernazza (or more so the beginning, because it’s right across from the place where you have to park your car to begin your walk down to the town of Vernazza) is incredible! The food, caffe, and...the people make your experience not just enjoyable, but memorable for a lifetime! Not only did the food give us a great start to our very physical day, but so did the people who work there and own the business. Try the Pistachio, Ricotta Croissant 🥐 and the fresh squeezed Orange or blood orange juice, as well as the best cappuccino in Italy, we are still talking about how good everything was. We were so grateful we found this gem hidden away up on the hill.More

We were told of this spot by several travelers and it did not disappoint. We stopped for breakfast which included omelets, bacon, pastry and freshly squeezed orange juice. The entire meal was delicious and the staff is very friendly. The location is at the top...of the hill in Vernazza next to a small laundromat. I highly recommend!More

We stopped in for lunch after hiking from Corniglia. We were greeted warmly by the staff who were eager to discuss the daily dishes. Nice lively outdoor setting. Excellent food all around. One of the best meals we had on our trip. Highly recommended if...you're in Vernazza.More

Wife and I came here for breakfast based on reviews on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint! The freshly baked cornetto and pastry were amazing, so are the freshly squeezed orange juice and cappuccino. We will probably come here every single morning for the rest...of our 3-day stay here in Vernazza, highly recommended.More

Had a great lunch here after hiking into town from Corniglia via the high route through San Bernadino. We decided to go to Il Pirata after a colleague of mine said she'd had the her best meal in Vernazza there. Il Pirata is a bit...of a trek up the hill from the waterfront but the walk is worth it because it is a lot quieter than the tourist filled streets closer to the water. The food was excellent, we shared bruscetta with buffola as a starter which was so simple yet so delightful. Following this I had pasta filled with spinach and ricotta with pesto which, again, hit the spot. We finished with teas, espressos and a canoli as big as a baby's arm which we shared. Cannot recommend it enough!More

We stayed in Vernazza for 5 nights down at the beautiful harbour. While everywhere we ate was good and some had amazing views we kept returning to Il Pirata for breakfast. Why because the owner and staff are lovely and friendly, the pastries and filled...croissants all homemade on the premises are amazing. We liked it so much we came for lunch one day too and the seafood pasta was great.More

I met someone at dinner in Vernazza who told me to order the cornetto at Il Pirata, so I wandered over the next morning and it did not disappoint! Get the pistachio with cream. You'll be in heaven, and if you're like me, will return...again the next morning. The owners are also lovely and hilarious. A can't-miss breakfast!More

The best cannoli and pastries we've ever had! The owner and staff are amazing. Serve breakfast and lunch. A little off the beaten path but so worth it when you find it

My husband and I just spent 3 nights in Vernazza. My appetite has never been greater than in this region and we were rewarded with the most delicious hot breakfast and cappuccino at Il Pirata. They serve a delicious hot bacon and eggs and yummy...pastries. Each morning I ate the ricotta stuffed croissant with pistachio cream on top and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The owners and waitresses were of the warmest we met during our entire Italy trip. To get there just walk under the train station and small incline to the last little spot on the right.More

Eating is good. Just be aware of prices-was surprise for 20 Euro for breakfast (for self service and location outside - 10 Euro eggs 🍳 ) and asked for what prices are (just surprised and of course going to pay with smile) : then I...heard so unfriendly stuff like” go to supermarket “ “ stay at home” absolutely unfriendly! Cannolis are great, especially pistachio, but we tried several kinds as well as other desserts and breakfast pastries and loved them all. Convenient location if you need to catch the bus.

We walked around (and around and around) Vernazza, looking for the right spot to eat. We started by walking up the hill from the train station, but ventured to the downtown, which looked too busy for us, then trekked all over up and down the...stairs, and ended up back at Il Pirata. We found a bit of shelter from the wind up that way, and had delightful service from a woman with the biggest smile! The food was good, the house white was good, and we were energized to go on with our stair-stepping journey.More

We spent 5 nights in Vernazza and ate every day here as we loved it! The pastries are amazing (ask for the pistachio crepe one- soooo good) and after our 3rd breakfast one of the twin brothers gave us a free bottle of vino probably...thinking it was our last day but we still came the next two days!! Highly recommend and want to go back to Vernazza just to eat here again!More
