First place I went to for food

The lady at the front desk was a happy woman and very helpful. Ordering was easy and cards accepted. Went for the mixed seafood large cone, medium fried veg and it was lovely, piping hot, and tasted fresh! Great value for money!

Fresh seafood- best take-out to eat on the beach.

We had the mixed fried seafood. It’s fresh, crispy - we loved the calamari and anchovies. The whole prawn can be eaten and they are delicious. It comes with a slice of lemon. The large cone is 13 euros (cheaper than the completion. The small cone is 7 euros. We also bought some tartare sauce and hot mayo.... brilliant!

Quick beach lunch

Perfect for a quick lunch on a hot day - deep-fried often means salt! Chose prawns and chips and fish and chips. The prawns and fish were really good, felt meaty despite being fried.

It can be better

The fried fish is fresh and fried at the moment. However, the fried vegetables were already fried and heated (most likely fried since a while from the taste). Considering the price, they should be fresh. Furthermore, the vegetables seemed to be frozen. As a specialized fried food shop, I think they should have fresh vegetables and fry them at the moment.

RUDE LADY - go elsewhere

Rude lady behind the counter was chatting with a young lady when we arrived. Completely ignored us and continued chatting. This took some effort, as the space is the size of a large closet, but they managed. I finally interrupted with a “bonjourno”. Pretty sure they then chatted about the fact that I used the wrong term for the time of day. Anyway, I got their attention and placed our order, which was coldly received. When the rude lady brought out a cone and placed it in the rack where the finished orders go, my wife made the mistake of reaching for it, thinking it was ours. “NO NO that is not yours!!” says the rude woman, very sternly and in perfect English, which, up until this point she had pretended not to know. When we finally got ours, it was ok, nothing special. I would suggest spending your money at one of the other several places that serve deep fried stuff in a cone.

INCONSISTENT!!!!!!!!

With so many great reviews and a mention in a food blog, I thought this would be great. I was looking forward to it for months. And the staff was very nice. So it breaks my heart to say the food ranged from good to (in my opinion) terrible. The fried “peeled” shrimp were okay. A bit too salty but good. However, the calamari was awful, with some pieces tasting “off” enough that they had to be spit out. Very sad.

Good for takeaway meal

We bought the mixed seafood cup. I liked the fried anchovies while my wife liked the calamari. While they were tasty, after a while it got a little too salty. Pricing wise was in line with what everything else in the city was selling for so no complaints.

Simple fried seafood done well

Heard this was the best fried fish and seafood cone in the town. Was really good. We did the anchovies and they let us do half of each kind, which was nice of them. We obviously paid for the more expensive of the two but it was great to try both. Really enjoyed how fresh and freshly fried they were. Perfect with just lemon squeezed on top. Excellent casual seafood, but still fried fish in a cone.

Great fry

A little corner of pure taste in Riomaggiore. I would have taken everything, but I couldn't! I opted for the breaded anchovies, very good. Before me I saw a couple coming out of the restaurant with an excellent fried mix. Fast and friendly service.

Tasty cones of fried food

The calamares were absolutely marvelous. We had also the fried anchovies and fried vegetables, all good, but the squid stood out. The lady wasn't very nice at first but we rapidly understood it was a matter of language-barrier.

Fabulous Fritto Misto

Riomaggiore is great for street food & Tutti Frutti serves up wonderful cones of Fritto Misto. The mixture of seafood was delicious, so much so that I went back for more Anchovies!
