One of the best meals we had in Italy! Wonderful spot and great service. The fresh scampi is incredible, and the local wines were immaculate.

The staff was nice. The food however was a great dissapointment. Lack of flavor and somewhat boring combinations. The view is nice though.

Food was okay. Wine was great. We were having a lovely evening and after spending 200 euro they asked us to leave our table before finishing. Will not return.

Truly memorable in all the best ways. We went there for lunch and were seated at an outdoor table along the railing overlooking the breathtaking views to the water. The food was incredible, the way it was presented was a work of art, and the...service was outstanding. I’m not sure why some gave negative reviews. I imagine foodies will appreciate what this special place has to offer.More

We arrived very excited to try this restaurant! We had thought it would be nice to commemorate a special night as a couple. However, when we arrived, we were rudely told that our booking was not on their books, despite calling once to make the...booking, and then again (which our Airbnb host did for us) to double check the reservation. We had requested an outside table with a view (in advance!) but were seated in the corner inside, next to the bathroom and kitchen area, with no view whatsoever. My partner is vegetarian, so ordered the only vegetarian dish on the menu, which was a primi course. I ordered the fish fillet under the secondi menu and a glass of wine that the waiter recommended. When the food came, we were utterly disappointed. My partners pasta was tiny and very plain, not worth it’s €18 price tag at all. The fish itself on my dish was fresh, but the sauce it was sitting in was bland and sweet, which ruined the dish entirely. It was also very small. We paid €3 for tap water, which was definitely just them refilling the bottles. The best part about the meal was the bread on the table to start and the wine that was recommended by the server was lovely. When it came time to pay, the host seemed uninterested and rude, having us pay whilst being on his phone. All in all, a very disappointing experience and NOT worth the price tag. Would be better to go to a cheaper local restaurant/takeaway. Will not be back again and have no clue why this place was awarded a Michelin star.More

We were staying in Rio Maggiore and everyone told us this was the best place to go for dinner. We went for the tasting menu and could not have been happier with our choice. Each of the courses was delicious with excellent flavor and creative...presentation. We both left extremely full and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Cinque Terre area. Their take on calamari was a definite highlight. One thing that came up in other reviews was the service at the restaurant. Our experience with the waiters/staff was exceptional and everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. Service in Italy can be different than in other parts of the world including the United States which prior reviewers might not understand. We felt the service here was on par with that of high end/Michelin rated restaurants in the US.More

My husband and I came to this restaurant during our stay in Cinque Terre. We made a reservation the night before. We arrived to the restaurant and there was one ocean view table free and two others. The waiter gave us the option of the...two other tables, I asked if we could have the ocean view one instead as this was free too, he said “no sorry this table was reserved a month ago” - which I thought was fair enough. However, once we sat down, two women wandered in, and a waiter asked them if they had a reservation, they said no, but they were offered the ocean view table! I overheard the two couples either side of us annoyed about this as we were all clearly told this table was reserved. Not only that but the two women who hadn’t made a reservation were served before all of us, and we had to wait about 30 mins just to see a menu. Obviously it’s not their fault, but it was just really strange that there was an inconsistency in treatment and it really wasn’t clear why. Perhaps they wanted two women at the front of the restaurant but it just doesn’t make sense why this would be necessary. The food was just average - the anchovies in the starter looked like they had come out of a tin, and we both ordered the fish of the day for a main which was a bit overdone and poorly seasoned. For these reasons I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.More

Poor experience overall, compounded with waking up an hour after going to bed and violently vomiting up the entire meal. My sister ate the same food and didn’t have the reaction, but I’m still queasy from it hours later.

Great view from the restaurant. Good selection of wine, fresh seafood. Had a tasting menu of euro 60, food was fresh but quite expensive.

Nice food , waiters attentive and pleasant…pity that, for some reason, the owner allowed a loud group of 4 to remain loud….several couples not too pleased..was often difficult to hear oneself So maybe we were unlucky with the group of 4 but even so the...owner could have done something to make them a little quieter…but maybe this “bistrot” is often like this? Maybe not? In summary, food and service really good but the “bistrot ambiance” wasnt too greatMore

We had a strange experience here. We were 1 of 3 2-person groups in the whole restaurant and yet were not checked on once. The wine we wanted was not available. We were offered an ice bucket for it, and it never came. We had...to fill our own glasses. The bread was cold and dry, no butter or oil provided to help it. The food was explained to us so quickly we were surprised when we got our food, as it was not as we expected. It took several minutes to wait for our drink order to be taken. The pesto pasta we made at home was better. Really not sure how they earned a Michelin star. Terrible service and mediocre food. We got water and weren’t even allowed to take the glass bottle home (they were looking for us in the alley). So basically paid 3 euros for tap water, cool. A family was turned away from just ordering dessert. So odd. Would not recommend. Overpriced and stuffy for no reason.More
