The food was okay. However, the staff was completely unprofessional and one of the waiters was very disrespectful which did not mach the setting.

We stumbled across this restaurant just after arriving at Manarola. We were quite hungry but the 30 min wait for a table was well worth it. We ordered their Crab Pasta and Tagliatelle with tomato, garlic, oregano and red peppers. Both were very well made...and tasty. The restaurant is spread across 3 levels with a view of the sea. If you are in groups of 2 or 3, you might be lucky to get a seat by the edge with great sea views. The quantity was just adequate and the prices were just right. The service was reasonably quick and quite unobtrusive. All in all a good introduction to Manarola.More

Our guest house in Manarola recommended and booked this restaurant for us. We were not disappointed. The staff were lovely and attentive, the food was good value and plentiful and the panacotta was the best I've ever had. We sat on the terrace and watched...the sunset it was a magical evening. Everything was perfect!More

We came across this restaurant whilst walking around in the evening trying to find somewhere to eat and drink, possibly a light meal. The owner was so rude to us, we decided not to stay

My daughter and I dined here in mid-May, 2022. We were in the middle of a trip that included Rome, Umbria, Tuscany, Lake Come and Venice as well. Our first day in Manarola we tried to walk in but they were full so we immediately...made reservations for the following night. Reservations are a must. We shared one of the best caprese salads we've ever had along with the Trofie with Pesto and the tagliolini alla Billy along with a bottle of very good Vermentino. Both pastas were sublime. Simply a great meal outside on their terrace with a fabulous view. I'm seeing some other reviews mentioning issues with service and that was not our experience. Friendly and knowledgeable service and a first rate wine recommendation. Highly recommended!More

We ate here eleven years ago, and were back in May 2022. The service and food is just as good, but be sure to make a reservation. Every course was delicious, from the anchovies with lemon, to the taglierini Billy and the "big eye" fish....It may be a little pricier than some of the other local restaurants, but it's worth it.More

The person at the reception was taking reservations for other people but refused to take ours. Nowhere it's mentioned that we have to make a reservation first as pointed out by them.

Only 4 stars because it took the waiter about 25 minutes to come to us after first seating. Everything else after that was pretty great. Had tuna tartare starter along with seafood spaghetti and shrimp pasta. Then their grilled fish filet before a great dessert....Really highly recommend this place just hope the service would have started quickerMore

Treat yourself and go to da billy for wonderful seafood with a view. You should try to get reservations ahead of time though, we got lucky and got the last table but the owner turned away plenty of people after us. It was wonderful!

In the residential area at the top of town, so the views are spectacular. Menu is nearly 100% seafood, mostly fresh. I found the food a bit salty, both in taste and price. My main complaint was the 12-part seafood appetizer. All 12 dishes came...out at one time, both hot and cold. They tell you what each dish is but you can’t remember them all, and the hot dishes aren’t very hot by the time you get to the last ones.More

Wow what a great place!! The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. You can tell they are passionate about delivering amazing seafood. Would highly recommend but you do have to book as they get full. We booked the day before and the outside...seating was already fully booked so book as early as you can.More

Can be difficult to get a table here. Very rustic vibe and decor. Our server wasn’t super friendly. Food portions were pretty large and fairly good. Wasn’t the best meal we had in Manarola but I would still recommend giving it a try.

Returned to this this brilliant restaurant after visiting 20 years ago and it did not disappoint. Fully booked but they managed to find us a table when we advised we'd come all the way from Australia. As it specialises in seafood we had their white...anchovies in lemon as well as the pasta in their namesake sauce "Billy" with prawns, both fantastic. Our mains were the grilled catch of the day and without doubt the best frittura mista I've ever had. A couple of glasses of Lemoncello was the perfect end to a very memorable meal. You must dine here if you're in Manarola. Closed Thursdays.More

I imagine the view might be nice at the right times, but we accepted a late reservation so it was dark. We were rewarded with an awful table, while walk-ins got nicer tables. Their "specials" (which are apparently available every day) were the lobster and...crab pastas, and the mixed seafood antipasto. A quick glance tells you that those lobsters and crabs don't come from the Mediterranean, which should tell you everything about Billy. Service was brusque at best. Our 12-dish mixed antipasto was unceremoniously dumped on the table at once (on top of each other!), to get cold. My tagliatelle with clams was a bit sandy, fully of empty shells (with the bodies found elsewhere) with broken shells here and there (I don't know what they're doing to the poor clams). At least my pasta was ok, which is far better than what my girlfriend got. Finally, the prices were high. This is truly Italy at its worst, exploiting tourists who don't know any better. Just about any other place in Manarola is better. At least the other tourist traps don't have the gall to pretend to be high-class and charge so much.More
