Worth the walk up!!

If you decide to visit or if you are staying in Corniglia, do make a stop over at Alberto's Gelateria for a gelato treat! It is located on the narrow main st.-- Via Fieschi 74, on your right as you come in from the town square. Lemon gelato is a great choice as it is their specialty. There are plenty of yellow lemons and sunflowers decorating the outside of Alberto's so you can't miss it!! Definitely a worthwhile stop here, especially if you have climbed up the 385 or so steps up to Corniglia from the train station on a hot /warm day!! The line was not that long and it move quite quickly. You can enjoy your gelato over at the town square.

Ssssh this place is the ultimate gelati

I almost want to keep this secret, but having spent 10 days in Italy and bought gelatis for 4 every day, we have sampled a lot of gelaterias and a lot of flavours. This place is the best. Hands down, no questions, if you taste better, tell me and I will be there to compare. The lemon, basil, Miele de Corniglia, were all stratospherically outstanding. Best chocolate nero gelato EVER IN THE WHOLE WORLD

I have eaten a lot of gelatos of a lot of flavors. The chocolate nero gelato was not only the best chocolate gelato my wife or I have ever eaten. It was the best gelato I have ever had. Its chocolate flavor is rich and unequaled. WOW! It was so good on Sept 27 that we returned on Sept 28, and if you have ever been to Corniglia, you know that to get up to town, one must climb many stairs, as we did (We eschewed the bus). We also enjoyed lemon granitas yesterday and they also were superb!

Not impressed with the taste of this ice cream. Expectations were high given all the awards and certificates stuck at the entrance; instead the basil flavour didn't taste much and the basil and lemon granita was too acidic. Maybe we happened to be there on a bad day.

Worst ice cream we ate in Italy and abroad, at least il last few years. Also, very pricey. Wasted 6 euros per ice, not the ice cream. I wonder how they make that ice cream at home, probably they take the ice from the freezer and then mix it with some flavours. Avoid. Go to Gelateria Vernazza, there you can find the best ice cream ever.

Simply superb!!

I had the lemon/basil and locally-sourced honey flavours. It was the best ice cream I had the pleasure to eat during my four days exploring the Cinque Terre. In fact, it’s right up there with the best ice cream I have ever consumed. Still thinking about it five days later!

Small shop, that's east to miss. Whatever you do...don't miss it. This was the best gelato we had while in Italy. So many people skip Corniglia, while in Cinque Terre. They are missing a quaint little town. Take the time to go to Corniglia! And definitely go Alberto Gelateria.

Amazing gelato in a cute Italian town

Heard the gelato here was good, and came specifically for their basil gelato. Did not disappoint! Texture was amazing and flavors super fresh. Ended up getting the basil gelato and basil lemon sorbet. Excellent combination. Highly recommend. The many other flavors they had also looked really good!

I had a coconut and strawberry gelato, it tasted absolutely amazing. This is one of the best gelato in Corniglia and I would certainly go again if I get the chance.
