Well first of all the place has tradition and you cen sense that, even smell the woodwork that is inside. It is not big, but cozy with huge amount of drinks to chose from especially if you are a fan of cocktails, definetly try one...of the classic or the modern ones!More

Great coffee and pastries in an ambiance that takes you back 100 years. The wood paneling and mirrors give a look of an old fashioned train car. The grappa list is excellent.

One of the best activities in Trieste is visiting its cafés, especially the ones, which are considered historical, and which are full of atmosphere. One of the smaller one's of these is the 'Antico Caffe Torinese', which goes back to 1919 and which has a...very central location by the corner of Corso Italia and Via Roma. The waitress in charge was very friendly, and we felt lucky rather early in the morning to get one of a few seats. Beside them are also two bar stools. We had 'Caffe Latte', which is the local way of calling a 'Cappuccino', and with it the last two brioches still available. Their coffee brand is 'Hausbrandt'. When we went out the waitress put up a sign that the café is going to close in half an hour for technical reasons.More

Most beautiful place, well situated in the centre. Great coffee, prepared from very kind staff, in a really nice environment.. I heard from a local that its cocktails are very nice as well. Excellent prices, truly worth a visit..

An amazing gem of a cocktail bar. Not just someone in between jobs and just mixing some bottles together. Matteo knows his stuff and has a wonderful selection of different products from all companies big and small, meaning, he's not beholden to any specific corporation...that's supplying him his products with kickbacks. While I didn't necessarily like his menu's presentation, he certainly has creativity and knows how to make a drink just based on whatever the base spirit and and how other combinations would compare, contrast, or supplement that initial spirit in your cocktail. His drinks were so good, I came back for a nightcap and more drinks the following night.More

This place is worth visiting for the ambience alone but the coffee is also very good. The pastry looked good but we did not sample any.

Great little cafe serving nice coffee in central Trieste. Seating is limited, but has a very interesting antique design internally, so if you can get a seat, it’s worth relaxing and enjoying the coffee there. Feels very much like a locals favourite, rather than somewhere...touristy.More

Near the main square. Cafe has nice decoration that gives an antique feeling. Was there late in the afternoon and pastries are closed to being sold out. Left mainly with sandwiches. Coffee is good and sandwiches are ok. Nothing much to hype about except for...the decoration. Staff does not seem to be able to communicate in English; but they do try to assist in some ways or another. Overall, price is decent at a tourist location and drop by for a cuppa if needed.More

Yes, the name says it all: the place, interior, machines, details...service and coffee. If antique caffe is what you are looking for - you found it.

Just to add to what many people have already said - and to say thank you - for a good, fairly priced, nicely made espresso in a small cafe that has a really good feel to it, and a kind owner clearly totally passionate about...what he does - coffee by day, mixology by night.More
