This was beyond any fish experience I had so far. Just a pleasure for your tongue. Particular recommend the antipasti misto.

If you want to try authentic local Trieste cuisine, this is a place not to be missed.. We loved all the dishes: the appetizers, the primi and secondi dishes. The pasta, the famous fish soup and the mixed appetizer platter are not to be missed. The owner is very friendly and is eager to explain the dishes. The atmosphere is... More

I'm was to dinner in this typical restaurant of Trieste, excellent local dishes, tasting mix of appetizers all very good, the fish soup was delicious and the grilled red mullet were superb! The house wine liter white Carso Sauvignon was great. Local very simple style old restaurant Trattoria! Always full boking low price 30 EUR

It's a nice place, in line with the spirit of the town, and the food is very good. Being able to understand the local dialect adds to the experience, as the owner takes care of explaining "cossa la ga nel piato" (="what you have in your dish") in a nice, non-intrusive yet friendly manner (well, I guess he's happy to... because this very small restaurant should not be missed and the chances of being turned away at the door if you do not reserve are great. This is good, serious seafood in a rustic setting and it helps lots to speak Italian. The much praised fish soup is good but very filling so my recommendation would be to order several... More

This place was recommended by the owner of our hotel. The look is dated and reminiscent of a seafront cafe. No English on the menu but a helpful owner who can explain most but not all of the dishes. After a struggle with the language barrier we both ordered seafood pasta followed by rock fish. The pasta was really nice... More

It's an informal restaurant a quite zone of Trieste city centre. Since i had high expectations, i have to say i was not satisfied by their kitchen. First problem: the restaurant is not only informal, but above all the furniture is ugly and the environment is really bad. I would never come back with my girlfriend.. Service is friendly but... I'm from Triest, but I just recently discovered this place. The location is a bit hard to reach for a foreigner, but the place is cozy and the owner very kind. He is one of the few professionals who is aware of customers' allergies: he was very attentive and proposed right solutions for a person with multiple allergies. Fish was... More
