We were in Trieste and decided to check out this restaurant. We were a group of 8 (4 Adults and 4 Children). They immediately found us a table and made us feel at home. The food was great and we took the recommendation for a bottle of white wine. It was very good and I have been trying to find... More

It is outside of the city and the car is must have to get there, I read some great reviews on tripadvisor so I expected more, food was really good actually but there was nothing serious to drink for aperitif, only spumante, no grappa. Ambient is also a bit sterile and too white, I think they should work on that... More

I have been to Scabar with friends who knew the place during a visit to Trieste. Situated up the hill the place is not easy to find by chance. The owner is extremely nice and everything she suggested was fresh and special. I particularly enjoyed the raw fish, olives warm bread and spaghetti with sea urchins.... We enjoyed so much... More

First dish, mixed raw seafood (sea bass tartare, salmon tataki, etc) was fine but not spectacular. I had high hopes for the second course - seafood ravioli - but it lacked taste and texture as if it had come out of a packet. The saffron sauce with it was good though. My main course, of pork with truffle, lacked flavour... More

It is famous, yes, we knew it. And yes, it is hidden - but you will find it with your sat-nav! ... and the food is really incredible! Stsrting with alice, followed by Spaghetti of the Season (ie. seafood) we climaxed with a Branzino. Great service - very attentive and also fast. ... and the view into the "Hinterland" -... More

Tucked on the side of a steep suburban street, Scabar is difficult to find but rewarding - if and when you manage to find it. Run by Giorgio and Ami, brother and sister, it offers great fish and a great choice of wine (Giorgio is the sommelier). A wide terrace overlooking the hills opposite, this place was once in the... We have planning to visit Scabar for a long time. We heard so many nice things about them from our friends that it was a must to try it for ourselves. The restaurant is in a residential area and difficult to find without a GPS (but no problem finding it with it). It has a nice veranda where you can... More

This little restaurant is hard to find without a navigator, but once you arrive you will be warmly welcomed with high degree of professional competence. Food is fresh and of excellence quality. The choice of wines of these great lands is amply wide and you will be advised wisely. Highly recommended. The price is average for this class of restaurant

I friend of ours take us to this magical place. We leave ourselves in the hends of the Chef and he didn't disappoint us. The beaf tartar was excellent. I adore the dessert with white truffles.
