Every time I come back dining here, which is pretty much every time I am in Piacenza for a few days, I found plates so typical of the Padana valley tradition I had totally forgotten all. You need to love meet, but also vegetables are offer in abundance. Everything is fleshly made. Worth a visit!

Divine, loved it, everything super, both the food and the wine, I especially adored the vegetable strudel with rosemary fonduta, very special and delicious. Also the veal punta al forno was fantastic, as "advertised" on the menu. But if you go, do try the strudel, unique. I don't know about the price because our friends paid the bill.

We arrived in Piacenza. It was raining so hard we could not get out of car. Switched on TripAdvisor found this restaurant. Switched on Google Maps and got there in 6 minutes. Rang from the car and ran in! Immediate friendly welcome from host and hostess set the scene. We were settled at a good size table. Water and bread... More

We enjoyed a first class dinner in the external area behind the main dining room. We started with a shared plate of mixed salumi of very high quality, particularly the parma ham, and a plate of boiled vegetables turned in olive oil. We followed with gnocchi in a rich, flavoursome ragu and pasta with a sauce combing tomato and pesto... More

I have eaten many times here, both for lunch and dinner, and with one exception on a Saturday evening when it was too crowded and noisy, I have always found it first-class. Portions are generous, but their salami, coppa, prosciutto are second to none. My favourite starters are sublime very thin slices of lardo on hot bread croutons. A friend... More

Marco's attention to detail of every dish is Italy at it's best. If in doubt his suggestions for accompanying wines enhance every dish. From Appetizer to dessert, all excellent. We returned several times during our stay.

Osteria Del Trentino was recommended by our wonderful hostess at our B&B it did not disappoint We were still adjusting to Italian dinner times so when we arrived without a booking at 7.45 and the place was empty we were a little worried , by the time we left 2 hours later it was full of patrons , the large... This restaurant is owned by the descendant of a family traditionally engaged in food serving and the experience is apparent. You can taste traditional local food but there is a hint at the contemporary tendencies, especially with desserts. Good choice of local and not only wines. Take advice from the owner, always available to help

The cozy atmosphere is welcoming and Marco the chef and owner will probably take care of you or at least drop by to check. He comes from a long family tradition of cooks and butchers therefore knows very well the trade. The offer is worthy a stop; the place is little and generally quite.

Used 'Around Me' to find a local place to eat as we arrived in the motorhome at 21.00. We tend to look for Osteria as they are more honest, authentic & reasonably priced. This place impressed from the moment we arrived. They invited us 4 adults and well behaved dog and served us amazing food! 3 of us had the... More
