Parma is known, even among Italians, to have some of the best food in Italy. Prosciutto and parmigian cheese, just to name a few come from here. Everwhere we ate when there was incredible. The Gallo D'Oro, however, left its mark among the places we...More

This Resturant has the most authentic northern Italian dishes and atmosphere. My family is from northern Italy and I can say this was the most delicious meal we had all trip. The prosciutto (Italian ham) selection was amazing and so fresh tasting. I would highly...More

A group of 12 went there for an evening meal. Food at best average, antipasti and pasta OK, but thoroughly uninteresting, and the bread was horribly dry. Service unengaged. A nice retro atmosphere, though.

Great restaurant. Good food and service. 4 5 stars. Cozy atmosphere and enjoyed the patio area. Entertainment was perfect, 2 students from music conservancy made the night.

Totally overrated. Food was mediocre. The flavor on the pumpkin ravioli (a local special) was not well balance (overly sweet) and the pasta was hard. Eggplant Parmesan was supposedly made to order but was only warm (not hot) and extremely salty. The bread was tasteless...More

Chose this based on proximity to our hotel and reviews. Retro decor and good if inexperienced service, “what meat is it?” “bird” came the reply.... The pheasant was well cooked as were the pig cheeks. But two wines we chose were not Available and some...More
