We went here twice during our 2 day stay in Parma, once to eat and once to buy prosciutto to take home. Such a variety of really tasty good local produce and dishes. A must-go if you're in Parma and want lunch or a snack. There's limited seating though so you have to go early or just settle for take-away.

What to comment on first? The quality of everything in there? The vast variety (you don't know what to choose - you simply can't have everything in a single go)? The courtesy of the staff? Just go, see, eat and then go back and repeat...

If you want to bring back home some very good Italian specialities (ham, cheese and so on), just visit Garibaldi, it is simply great! Prices are not so cheap, but quality is there!

Nickolo, the owners son speaks English very well and was not only friendly but inviting. We felt welcomed in the store. Parmesan cheese from the source!!!! If you are in Parma don't miss this store

Very complete with lots of options for prepared foods, meats and cheeses. The staff was fun and helpful plus they had Parmigiano packaged for travel back to the US.

While this is not a sit down restaurant, you must get your food here (short walk to the nearby park to eat). It has a superb collection of local cheese and meats (the star of the show!) plus a lot of pre-prepared foods for take away. While the staff spoke essentially no English, they were very helpful and patient. Wine... More

Strada Garibaldi could be considered the culinary centre of Parma. You find two great delicatessen shops there (Salumeria Garibaldi and Salumeria Verdi, very close to each other) and the fantastic Pasticceria Torino where I found some of the best gianduiotti I've ever tried. Salumeria Garibaldi is bigger than Verdi and the selection of ready dishes is very, very wide so... More

They have excellent fresh food, very nice service, big variety, tasty ingredients, and great choice of nice wines, try lambrusco... they have just a few tables and seats, if you are lucky enough to grab one don´t loose your chance there...

Very polite staff, good quality food (but not excellent), only _one_ very tiny table, and in my opinion, way too expensive. Would not return.

We had gotten off the train and headed towards our room when we came across this on the corner we were walking towards. A huge and very busy, busy place to select any number of different local foods ready made. Also a large section dedicated to Salumi, ham,and cheeses. We picked two different choices of ready made meats stuffed with....... More
