Went here for a dinner with my wife and her cuisine. Outstanding food I have to say, had a zucchini flan which was a dream and my wife the Parmesan mouse I still dream of. Tagliatelle with lamb was outstanding and closing with a dream of a chocolate mouse. Will absolutely come back.

Very quiet and it shouldn't be , although the owner reassured me dinner is always busy. It was fabulous. A platter of seriously high grade Parma ham (how could one go wrong), a great local wine list (barbera d'asti fabulous for 30€) and then THE BEST pasta ever . Little ravioli pillows of 2 kinds of cheese (stracchino, pecorino maybe... More

we walked to this austere from our hotel and were delighted by the meal we had there. A family run business, it was really good home cooking. Out of the way, we needed directions - but once we got there we were happy with everything about this restaurant.

GENERAL STUFF: The distinct difference between a ‘destination’ and a ‘location’ was brought home to us during a great meal in a Parma Osteria where we ate the best pasta dish ever. If you choose destinations like Rome, Florence then Venice, you clearly know what you want; but the locations of Parma and nearby Bologna gave us a memorable taste... More

We have enjoyed the dinner we had at Osteria del Gesso. The place is nice and the service very friendly. All the dishes were good but the pasta, tortelli d'erbetta e ricotta alla parmigiana, was one of the best pasta dishes we had in Italy.

Exellent service - very nice atmosphere. We were six people eating and the food was very good. Genuine home made cooking. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed two dinners here and each time we had excellent innovative Bolognese cuisine presented in the most beautiful way. Every morsel was worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant to any "foodie" who appreciates innovation combined with traditional ingredients. Ability to speak basic Italian will help. We enjoyed great wine suggestions and service.

We went here for lunch and were delighted. The restaurant is small and charming. The city of Parma is filled with very good restaurants doing the local specialties, but this place was something different. From the first bite, you know you're in the hands of a chef who can really cook. I had house made pasta with branzino and cherry... More

We went for lunch, overall the meal was ok but the carpaccio d'anatra was not good (onions were very good though) and the chocolate mousse wasn't exactly tasteful. Side notes, as soon as we got in there was smoke smell in the room, the wine by glass was supposed to be sangiovese but the second one was definitely not (also... More

We saw a few tables in the middle of a closed street, and decided to have lunch there. What a surprise! It was a great lunch. We started with prosciutto and a duck carpaccio with onion marmalade.Very good. Then we had the taglioni with truffles and gamberoni with farro with a good Chianti. Creative and good. Finally for desert a... More
