On our way from Florence to Bergamo we wanted to find a nice place for a typical Italian lunch. I found an article of the 10 best restaurants in and around Parma, and Ai due Platani was mentioned as number one. Way out in the country side this small family run restaurant take pride in serving authentic Italian food inspired... More

for a restaurant that's located out of the city of Parma you will not believe the food quality that's cooked inside that old house, gnocchis that melts with that heavenly sauce, meat roasted to perfection... simply, we enjoyed every single course with the matching wines and beers, the gelato on the other side it's something that you cannot skip, end... Lucked into a last minute lunch reservation. This was the best meat we had on our last trip to Italy. Charming setting on the edge of town. Waiters equally charming and professional. I had the rabbit ravioli which was the best ravioli I have ever had. Leave room for the ice cream at the end of the meal!

After looking on trip advisor and our place of stay recommendation our hotel got us a table. What a find it was fantastic the best meal we've had in Italy so far and we've been traveling around for a week. Hubby had the risotto and rabbit for main and I had the macaroni pasta and the pigeon for main all... More

Due is located in old house on the edge of town. In every way this is a highly pofessional establishment. Waiters know precisely what they are about, they are excited and energised, and there is a consequent feeling of expectation for the diners. Some local specialities, ham among them of course, are followed by pasta. Then a number of interesting... More

It is a treat to sit in their garden and enjoy their fresh home-made tortellini, ravioli and ice cream. Professional service to top it off.

A wonderful trattoria/restaurant in the middle of the countryside though just 10 mins from city centre Parma. Had the most amazing pasta, meat and dessert dishes I have ever experienced in Italy. I recommend going there for lunch, then walking it off in the afternoon around beautiful Parma and the Parco Ducale. Authentic, homemade cuisine delivered with Michelin standards. Well... More

We made a detour here for lunch on our way from Bologna to Parma. The atmosphere is cosy, very welcoming and warm, in the country. Giancarlo, the maitre greets and looks after you the entire meal. The cuisine is firmly based on traditional Italian, the ingredients are fresh, high quality and each dish is prepared superbly. The wine list has... More

Half hidden away near Parma is this jewel of Emilia Romagna cuisine. The food uses local seasonal ingredients prepared mostly in traditional ways. The preparation is excellent, and you will find the restaurant full of Italian foodies. The service is warm and welcoming. We had questions about places we wanted to visit and the maitre helpfully gave us his recommendations... More
