Born in 1932 as a shack for slush and syrups in the Piazza Grande and then later became the local Bar Schiavoni continues to be a focal point for the people of Modena and especially for the many tourists who come to visit the city. I flew from Australian to eat the famous sausage sandwiches from "Master of None". Walked in straight off the train at 3:05pm and told "were not making any more food". Their website says its open till 3:30!! Thanks for ruining my experienceMore

The seating is awkward outside (very tight together tables) and the man barista is very curt. Nice coffee, but not a wonderful experience.
