My husband and I visited LÉrba del Re in Modena and we were looking forward to a good meal as we had found this restaurant in the Michelin guide. It was however a very disapointing experience. We got the wrong food and the standard was as going to a bistro/bar. The worst thing though was the service - they were... More

Having attended almost 160Michelin restaurants I know what to expect in these places. Sadly this place didn't even come close to a Michelin standard of food or service. We attended Modena mainly to go to osteria Francescana and Strada Facendo. These places far exceeded my expectations for food and service. Let's start with the first and main problem here at... I have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants in my time and I cook a lot myself so I know my way around food. L'erba deal re is a very pretty restaurant with good service and good staff, definitely up to standards in terms of a Michelin starred restaurant. But from there it stops. My first course of mortadella tortelloni... More

The restaurant is elegant but relaxed. I went there for dinner with my wife, since we are used to choose Michelin starred restaurants. That means we have some expectations when we eat in this kind of restaurants. Well, our expectations have been disappointed one by one. Table service rough and approximate. No amuse-bouche served to us. The courses we have... More

My wife and I combined a two days visit of Modena with a dinner at L'erba del Re. We were totally satisfied. The ambient was very nice: very well spaced tables and friendly and styled staff. We chose the "experience" menu (tasting menu, 10 courses). It was experimental, very nicely served and delicious. At the end of the dinner, we... More

The service was very good. We opted for the tasting menu which was adjusted due to intolerance. The food was also very good thought at one point repetitive with the fish. We only tried meet once, thought it was delicious. The ambiance is welcoming.

The restaurant looks nice and the service was excellent !!! Unfortunately the food was average (not to say disappointing) although it looks like a piece of art. Unfortunately not a value for money!

Our expectations were high as we looked forward to dining at a Michelin honored restaurant. The simplicity of the dining room offered an unimpressive felling. Neither the cutlery, glassware or dishes reflected any elegance. The service was fairly decent, with formal suited waiters coordinating the voila effect when the lids were removed from the plates. The wines were nothing special,... More

Pulled into Modena at 2 on a Saturday and the town looked dead but we found the restaurant (which is kind of in an office building) and they let us in. Had a seafood pasta dish that will be with me forever--so good. Husband had an anchovy pasta dish which he liked but preferred mine. Good, affordable wine list. Beautiful... More

This very exquisite restaurant is located near the Pomposa Square, in the middle of old Modena. The experience at this restaurant is a turning point in anyone culinary search for the best. Own and operated by Chef Luca Marchini, a student of Chef Bottura (of the Osteria Francescana) the restaurant offers all what is the best in food and ambience.... More
