So many choices, but we were offered tastings of so many to help us with this difficult task. All delicious! This is a hidden gem and well worth a visit.

The ice-cream is delicious, with original flavours!! The pistacchio and the cannolo siciliano flavours are amazing. Worth the short walk from Piazza Due Torri. We visited this little gelateria under the arcades every chance we had during our short holiday in Bologna! Good value and quality. Do not miss having a few ice-creams from here while in Bologna!

This is a hidden gem and I was so glad to find it. Located about 10 minutes walking distance east from Piazza Maggiore, this small gelatauro offers many other things in addition to delicious gelatins. Cannoli a, chocolates, cookies, coffee, sandwiches and so on. I tried 5-6 different gelatos (thanks to the wonderful host). The pistachio cookies are delicious -... More

The gelato here is fresh, tasty, and incredibly original. There are so many flavors I have not seen anywhere else since. I came here at least two dozen times.

Nothing special. You can not it compare with gelato in Napoli, Rome or Venice. May be the owner changed, when we tasted it? No aroma. Very plain.

I have been thinking that trying a Gelato would be the last thing I would do in the winter yet at the end, Coz of this place it became a weekly habit of me. Gelato of different delcious flavors, I should say

Perfect place, with a very traditional ice cream and affogato but also croissants, artisanal chocolate and panettone and other sweets. One of the best in Bologna.

Completely appreciate the bold and experimental flavours, and maybe I just ordered the wrong flavours (three in total), but I didn't enjoy the gelato. Friendly service and lots of seating area.

On recommendation we took a wee walk out from the centre of Bologna to this little shop. They produce some unusual flavours (cinnamon and pumpkin) as well as the more regular fare. The chocolate orange is the single-best ice-cream scoop we've ever had. Fully recommended.

Il Gelatauro on via San Vitale is amazing. The people care so much about their ice cream, not just the flavour that goes into it but the craft. This has to be one of if not the best gelateria in the city, and one of the best I've ever visited. I would recommend their stracciatella, it's divine. But all flavours... More
