This is a favorite spot. The staff are very welcoming year after year and the food is authentic Italian and always a complete delight whatever we decide to order.

Pizzeria Jari does more than just pizza, it has a full range Italian menu. It is a very pleasant and cosy restaurant seemingly popular with locals and families. It is also located quite close to the AC Marriott Bologna Hotel. The food was good and fairly priced, the scallopine alla vino bianco was particularly good, not overlooked as is often... More

Wanted something lighter for lunch after a big dinner and this small family run pizzeria was recommended too us. We were lucky to get in at 8pm as it was rammed and we managed to bag the only unreserved table for the two of us. They do far more than just pizza but we stuck with that and was pleased... More

This was quite close to our hotel, so following TA reports, called in for supper on our last night in Bologna. Didn't book, just called in just after 7pm - their opening time. Friendly staff showed us to a table. It is bigger than you might imagine, but filled up very quickly, so booking advisable if intending to eat later.... More

Just along the Via Sebastiano Sergio from the AC Hotel is this pizzeria which is patronised by the local residents of the surrounding area. It has a traditional wood burning oven that is lit daily after close of service so that it burns to charcoal over night. The bread is baked first thing the next day when the oven is... More

Having dined out at more expensive restaurants during our week in Bologna we opted to eat here for a less expensive meal. We each had a starter and a main. We wish we had not bothered! We had only paid €10 more the evening before for a three course meal which had included an additional half litre of wine as... More

This family run restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It did an excellent range not just of pizza and pasta but fish and meat dishes. The owners are Sicilian so in addition to the Bolognese specialties there are some Sicilian dishes and wines. The cannolo was particularly good.
