A definite favourite of mine in Bologna. The staff are all friendly and discuss wine choices and meal with you. The meat and cheese platters were each delicious and of a high quality. Absolutely loved the dining experience from beginning to end. The place seemed cozy and a little alternative. Staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I ordered a fiori di zucca for antipasto and the AMAZING cascata di manzo, the meat was so tender and excellent quality, and the lava cake dessert topped the night off! It was just excellent and stood... More

Visited during a two day eating/sightseeing trip to Bologna. The place was full for the night, but we could come by at 22:00 if we wanted a table. We did not regret waiting until 22:00! The staff and owner are both very welcoming and made sure we had a special night. We got the "romantic" table in the corner, and... More

I can thoroughly endorse the previous reviews. We had a fantastic meal from the alternative menu as well as the traditional menu. You could tell that a lot of thought had gone into the preparation and the ingredients and the whole thing just worked. Alternative dishes include deep fried zucchini flowers stuffed with octopus as well as tagliatelle with venison... More

If you are staying in the center city you need a car or taxi to get to this restaurant. When we arrived one of the owners greeted us at the door by name, quite impressive. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team who work very hard. I had salad and fish which were tasty but not memorable.... More

Taking train to Bologna Mazzini from Bologna Centrale (5min ride) and walking around 10 min, you reach Osteria Satyricon. We were there around 8:30 pm without reservation and the place was full. Since it was our last night, we insisted for a table and accepted to wait around 1 hour. But it really worth! We tried "Frisella" and "carpaccio di... More

Good traditional food with a modern twist. Great homemade breads , and some outstanding dishes. My only criticism is that the cottoletta wasn't crispy and was on the bone. Prices are honest.

This is definitely worth the inevitable taxi ride (no more than 15 mins from centre) that you’ll take to get there (no more than as it seems to be little known and in a suburb (the very knowledgeable hotel concierge had never heard of it) so thank you Tripadvisors for leading us to it. Happy to do the same for... More

Nice linen place settings, warm and friendly atmosphere, family run…what else? Good honest home style cooking. The pasta is not to be missed.
