This was recommended as a traditional restaurant and a good place to get some Ragu. It definitely ticked the traditional box but the food was just average. Nothing bad but noting particularly good compared to other places that we ate in Italy.
We had the taglietelle al ragu and the tortellini in butter and sage... the ragu was pretty nice, but not anything fantastic, and we felt the tortellini was a little dry and not very flavourful. maybe thats just how the dish is? but we would...More
Having read an article in the Guardian Newspaper and then been recommended this restaurant by the person who rented our accommodation. Four of us went for dinner tonnight . The premises has a very traditional ambiance about it. However, the food was very ordinary appeared...More
The Tagliatelle Al Ragu was the best pasta dish that we had in our entire Italy trip. The tagliatelle was freshly-made, at the right thinness, and had a very nice bite to it. The Ragu sauce was simply delicious. It has this very home-made, down-to-earth,...More
It was a family visit, we went there around 7:40 pm. The kitchen opens at 8 pm. The service was under average, to be honest. We said we were in 5 but they did not add another set of cutlery, they did only after when...More

A mistake on my part to pick this restaurants out of so many choices in the food paradise of Bologna. We had salad, tagliatelle al ragu and liver. The salad and livers were nothing impressive. We had better pasta in Verona and Modena. The most...More
A regular haunt of actors, opera singers and anyone who appreciates good food. Everything is made on the premises-all the pasta is hand made (with love). A good selection of true Bolognese food. Can't go wrong here!
We went twice and didn't have a reservation for either night. I don't think it will be an issue for you - worst case you may have to wait. You can stroll to kill time - the area is a mix of young people and bars. Make sure... More
We went twice and didn't have a reservation for either night. I don't think it will be an issue for you - worst case you may have to wait. You can stroll to kill time - the area is a mix of young people and bars. Make sure you order the tiramisu !! The. Best. Ever.
