Very Tuscany oriented, the Prosciutteria served very nice boards of cured meats and cheeses. It's something quite common around Bologna city center but the plus is the "schiacciata" and a few hit meals. Their wine selection is from their own cantine, Chianti is a must!

La prosciutteria is a very welcoming place to eat, with great sandwiches -paninies- or plates of local cheeses and cold cuts. You can say how for how many persons and they will prepare you a wonderful plate!! The staff doesn't speak English very well but so...the most people in Italy. Excellent value for money and bonus points for location and coziness!More

We ordered the basic platter for 4 people and it was excellent! Really mixed and delicious options. We were four adults and couldn't finish. Would definitely go back any time!

They were a little self focused and perhaps not as helpful as some other places in explaining options. However the sandwiches and wine we ordered were good. The bread was fried style - soft and tasty. Hubby had one of the daily specials with truffle...gorgonzola and ham and I had burrata and ham both with the grilled courgette which had a nice crunch and a vinegar flavour that helped to cut through the cheese. The table we sat at did suffer from the uneven pavement and we worried for the glasses but that's not their fault- we weren't offered any way to keep the wine bottle cool.More

The platter the three of us had to share was delicious. A great way to taste the local foods of Bologna. Great service. Limoncello on the house if you're lucky!

thanks so much Compass! we like your experience in our "wine & prosciutto bar", tasting the best of tuscan and italian foodies!

The sharing boards are to die for! We asked for a sharing board for two people which was reasonably priced at €20. It was tasty with a generous selection of hams, cheeses and breads.

I am not sure if there is a crazier place in Bologna, but so damn good at the same time. The best time for you to come here is around 19:00 hrs. Eat, drink, talk. Repeat until you die of whichever of those kills you...first. The prosciutto and the panini are simply out of this World, So is the wine and the quantities of it you can order..,,,And on one of the windows you can read the biggest philosophical enlightenment of the Human Reasoning as it is stamped - L'Alcool non ha mai risolto nessun problema.... ma nemmeno il latte.. I raise my glass of rakia/scotch/vodka/wine to that.More

A truly authentic experience. We ordered the large board full of ham, salami, cheese and bread........delicious! Accompanied by glasses of local wine recommended by the very helpful staff. Wonderful ambience, shared tables added to the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Walked past this place on a Sunday night and it was rammed. Went back on the Monday night and managed to get a seat. Be prepared to share your table with other diners. No table service but go the the cash desk, order your wine...and decide how hungry you are and choose the size of platter you want. Great selection of meats and cheeses although surprisingly no sign of the famous Bologna mortadella. Lovely atmosphere and opportunity to make new friends.More

Thank you for your review! There is no table service because we are not exactly a restaurant: we are a typical historical tuscan place characterized by cheerfulness and informality. We hope you liked it! It seems strange to us that there was no sign of...More

Right at the place there's a variety in the corner. Though if they are out of size/design, i doubt it can be ordered and produced quickly
