We came here specifically because of the traditional Italian dishes that they made vegan. This place did not disappoint. For our appetizer we ordered the Carciofo alla Romana - the Roman style artichoke, which though it doesnt look great, it was delicious. Our main course consisted of Spaghetti alla Carbonara Vegani and the Saltimbocca alla Rimana Vegani - both traditional Italian dishes which were veganized on a very high level. The portions may look small when they arrive, but they are filling! The food was so good that even though we werent really hungry, we had to try a dessert. We chose the Millefoglie Vegana. Wow. Just wow. Absolutely amazing. Definitely worth making a special trip in order to eat here. Absolutely loved every bite!

My husband and I had lunch here. It was a hot day in Rome and I love that they had little spritzers on the patio that cooled you off by spraying a tiny amount of water on the tables. Our service was great. The waitress was so sweet and friendly. I ordered a vegan salad. It was so big and colorful! I also ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara. And wow… the spaghetti carbonara was SO good. The vegan bacon on it tastes exactly like real bacon. Amazing! One of the best pasta dishes I had during my 2 weeks in Italy.

Origano is one of those special restaurants you find in the center of Rome that, while located directly in the center, still offers typical Roman cuisine of high quality and for an affordable price. I tried one of my favorite Roman dishes, the amatriciana, and it was truly delicious. Not only that, the portion size was very generous and I certainly plan to come back for more. One great thing about Origano also is that they offer vegetarian and vegan options as well. As a meat lover I normally opt for other dishes but it is this variety that makes Origano special. All in all, I’m very glad I found out about this restaurant because it is always great to have a truly authentic option when you find yourself in the center of Rome!

‼️Don’t go here if you have food allergies‼️ I visited this restaurant on Saturday 9th aprile. I started with asking them if they had gluten/lactose-free options and they said they had, they also have a lot of vegan options. I asked for the glutenfree pasta “Spaghetti alle vongole”. The food arrived and the waitress was not the same who took my order so I asked 5 times if it was glutenfree, she was unsure (????) she went to ask her colleague (did not go to ask the chef) and they both told me it’s glutenfree. So I started eating and 5 minutes later they come to the table “I hope you didn’t start eating from it yet because this har gluten in it” The waitress who had served me the pasta even had the urge to pass by the table 10 minutes later to make the following comment “are you ok? if you didn’t get a reaction yet you are fine” Let’s just say I have not been fine for the past 3 days!!!

We apologize, it was a mistake, a misunderstanding with another table, we immediately remedied and offered the dish. We are sorry

We were welcomed by a lovely man who showed us to our table. I don't know his name but he was lovely and friendly. Stefania (Stefy) checked our reservation and showed us to our table. She made us feel so welcome and really has passion for her job. Our waitress was Laura. She was super attentive, so patient while we picked our food. She joked with us, created a very fun and lively atmosphere. We honestly loved her, she did such a great job. We ordered cheeseburgers and the tonarelli cacio e pepe and it was all super delicious. Highly recommended. Ragazzi bravissimiiiii!!! The staff were the highlight of the night!

My fiancé is vegan so when we stubbled across this restaurant randomly one night we were thrilled! The first time we went here we thought the food was absolutely beautiful and so reasonably priced. We loved it that much we went here a total of 3 times in our week holiday, and the staff remembered us. My fiancé tried the vegan carbonara, and 2 other pasta dishes. I had the normal carbonara, the lasagna and a chicken dish. We also shared the deep fried starter, which was deep fried vegetables and it was so yummy. Would highly recommend this place for everyone even if you’re not vegan.

Ordered an antipasro of artichoke which was interesting and good but pizza was bland and flavorless. Tje spaguetti a la vongole was just oil with clams. Only one fish in menu. I hope their vegan dishes are better than their regular ones. Wine was good.

We were there in August 2020. The place has THE BEST vegan carbonara and tiramisu. My husband couldn't believe that tiramisu was vegan, so we even ask a manager to double-check. I live in California, a place with a lot of vegan options, but I never tried anything like that! THANK YOU

This restaurant goes on our top best Vegan spots in Rome, we ate here every day! Great place and incredible vegan food! (they have non-vegan options too for those who aren’t vegan). We really loved the customer service, there was such a positive, friendly vibe. We left feeling happy and full. What a joyful experience. We highly recommend the ‘vegan aperitivo’ option and the Vegan carbonara! This is a must do for any Vegan visiting Rome!!

This is the best restaurant in Rome. The staff are very nice and welcoming, there are always seats available. The food is amazing, with lots of vegan options. Both the vegan and the non-vegan meals are of very high quality, and the prices are very affordable. Thank you!

I'm actually sad I only came here once, the menu looked amazing, it was hard to choose what I wanted. They have tonnes of vegan options, including lots of vegan desserts - I had the tiramisu and it was just amazing. Very good value, great service, overall my favourite place to eat in Rome!

Wonderful restaurant with a friendly staff and delicious food at a decent price point. I was traveling solo and stopped in to order to-go. As a female dining solo, some restaurants can be intimidating, they may seat you at an awful table location, or they mansplain. Not so at Origano. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was bright and welcoming so I decided to dine in. Had an excellent meal experience, no awkwardness, and the food was so good that I went back again during my stay in Rome. I ordered the amatriciana. The guanciale was perfectly cooked, tender with a bit of crisp. I ate at a highly rated famous restaurant on the same visit where the guanciale was soggy and chewy. I look forward to dining there again on my next visit. This restaurant is a gem!

We were delighted to find this restaurant on The Fork and near to our apartment. From the time we arrived until we left, we were treated exceedingly well by the staff. The food was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. My husband enjoyed the Saltimbocca alla Romana with roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. I had to try the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe con Carciofi Croccaniti - which was pecorino cheese and pepper on homemade squared spaghetti with crunchy artichokes. Oh my, it combined two of my favorites: Cacio e Pepe and fried artichokes. Mark and Maria Antonietta saw to our every need. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Grazie! We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back for a second time. We were spoiled by the service and attention of Stefania and Valerio. They really went all out to make sure that we were comfortable, warm, and had a quiet spot to enjoy our dinner. (It was raining cats and dogs outside.) We feasted on Focaccia Semplice, Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, Fettuccine al ragu, Saltimbocca alla Romana with roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach. My husband had a Millefogli for dessert which is a Thousand leaves cake with custard cream, dark chocolate drops and whipped cream. It was so decadent and delicious. The next time we return to Rome, we will definitely be coming back to Origano.

We recently had lunch at Origano during a holiday in Rome that was great. This is a nicely decorated restaurant at Largo dei Chiavari near Campo de' Fiori. You'll find a fairly wide menu of traditional Italian dishes, few other western dish classics and a surprising number of vegan-friendly options as well. Opening hours are 10am to 11pm daily. Reservations potentially worth making if you want to eat here at peak meal time or during public holidays. During our lunch, we found service to be polite, friendly and timely. Roman style artichoke was a nice starter, Diavola pizza baked well, topped with delicious ingredients and the eggplant parma served with roasted potatoes tasted just perfect. Wine and coffee with the meal were also just fine. Overall, this was a perfect lunch in Rome. We'd be very happy to eat here again during future trips to the city.

My friends and I came to origano to do a cooking class. The chef mirco was absolutely amazing. So sweet, funny and really showed us in detail how to do Italian cuisine. All staff at this restaurant were the sweetest especially stefi, the manager of the Campo de’ Fiori location. This was definitely a highlight of my Italy stay, absolutely memorable experience. Not only did they accommodate us vegan options for the cooking class but also offered regular options for the non-vegans ! Thank you Stefi and Mirco for being so welcoming and kind! 🫶
