This restaurant has been around for a very long time and it is point of reference of all the people of Parioli area. Staff is not very friendly but is quite fast and attentive. Food is very good and prices are higher then mid-range. Table are quite small and very close to each other. I have eaten here many times... More

We had a wonderful Sunday dinner here our first night in Rome. We received excellent service, delicious food & a great wine recommendation. I would certainly eat here again.

I went there with a friend of mine and even though we had a reservation they had us waiting for 20 minutes. Then they set us in the corner of the room down below and didn't even bring drinks for the next 15 minutes. It was only one waiter for 10 tables. Then we finally ordered and the chicken was... More

than you for expressing your opinion!!! I'm very sorry that is not happy….I apologize for the wait for table….I understand that the evening stared badly and since then for her everything is wrong….I think the CAMINETTO dal 1959 is real Roman restaurant….I don't have the foreign-language menù….I have not contract with hotel concierges to send guests….but wii the tourists who... A local neighborhood restaurant which made obvious tourists feel very comfortable. The menu did not try to impress with fancy items, but offered good Italian fare which was superbly prepared. Although the waiters were limited in English, they made a wonderful effort to communicate and make us feel welcome. We had a wonderful curry shrimp risotto entree and a filet... More

I will certainly go back to Caminetto. The service is impeccable, the food is beautiful and the location is very Parisienne. The fried vegetables are tasty and light, the rest of the menu is from the Roman cuisine but prepared in a very innovative way, with a pleasant creative touch! I strongly suggest it!

A restaurant guide recommended this restaurant, so, we went there. But it was quite cold, no heating at all. Thus, don't go there if it's cold outside. The service was really bad: our waiter didn't speak any English, so we had to stretch our Italian. He was not willingly to help understanding when we had questions (there was NO English... More

When I was a kid in my home country Brasil, I used to go with my parents to restaurants where you would have waiters dressed in white tuxedo and jackets with golden buttons. It was always a kind of a fancy feeling for me as a child. So yesterday I had the same feeling when I went to Caminetto, it... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
