Right next to the Galleria Nazionale delle arte moderna you'll find this fine restaurant. With a sundreched terrace mid November! The weather was luck. The rest of the lunch great craftmanship! How many so called chefs spoil a salad? Too many. But not here. This is where I enjoyed a beautiful enriched tuna salad. Plain with fresh (important part of... More

Went to eat there since it was the only place around the gallery and the park which we found. The service wasn't particularity fast neither friendly or welcoming. The sandwich we ate was very average and certainly expansive compared to what you get.

As a break from looking at the art in the huge Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Villa Borghese park, I thought I'd have a small lunch in the cafeteria part (not the more expensive restaurant). I didn't eat inside, but could easily have done so because of its attractiveness: a high-ceilinged eating area peppered with nude statues in bronze (!)... More

Got there on a monday lunchtime after a (hot) walk around the Villa Borghese. Tripadvisor said the place was good and they were right. It was nice and cool under the stretched canvas in the bright June sunshine. There were a few patrons having brunch but it was otherwise rather empty which meant we had the place to ourselves. The... We went there for lunch in the mid afternoon and enjoyed a few charming hours on the breezy, relaxed, quite elegant terrace. Perhaps we were not lucky but the food was nothing to write home about (cocktails are nice though) yet we would happily go back as the place is truely beautiful and refreshing, next to the Galleria d'Arte Moderne,... Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident as our Hotel was not serving food when we arrived on Sunday. It feels like a local's secret and the food is fantastic and very well priced.

After being seated, waited for 15 minutes then left. Something is weird with these people, they weren't busy, just didn't care.

In April when we visited the museum we were very tired and we hoped to be reinvigorated by an Italian espresso, but the Caffe delle Arti was closed and in the aria is nothing similar. .

An Oasis in a busy city. Because it's in the Gardens this is a quieter place than many Roman cafes. A beautiful location both inside and outside on the terrace. We had Peroni, club sandwiches and coffee in the cafe section. It was all great and the atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The gallery is great and combining a... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
