Got there on a monday lunchtime after a (hot) walk around the Villa Borghese. Tripadvisor said the place was good and they were right. It was nice and cool under the stretched canvas in the bright June sunshine. There were a few patrons having brunch but it was otherwise rather empty which meant we had the place to ourselves. The... We went there for lunch in the mid afternoon and enjoyed a few charming hours on the breezy, relaxed, quite elegant terrace. Perhaps we were not lucky but the food was nothing to write home about (cocktails are nice though) yet we would happily go back as the place is truely beautiful and refreshing, next to the Galleria d'Arte Moderne,... Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident as our Hotel was not serving food when we arrived on Sunday. It feels like a local's secret and the food is fantastic and very well priced.

After being seated, waited for 15 minutes then left. Something is weird with these people, they weren't busy, just didn't care.

In April when we visited the museum we were very tired and we hoped to be reinvigorated by an Italian espresso, but the Caffe delle Arti was closed and in the aria is nothing similar. .

An Oasis in a busy city. Because it's in the Gardens this is a quieter place than many Roman cafes. A beautiful location both inside and outside on the terrace. We had Peroni, club sandwiches and coffee in the cafe section. It was all great and the atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The gallery is great and combining a... More

We were recommended by our hotel this café/bar/restaurant which is the In house café of the Museum of Modern Art. We enjoyed a drink and coffee one afternoon on the spacious outside terrace, and liked it so much we were determined to go back which we did on our last day for lunch inside as the weather was not so... Sat down for a gallery break, ordered the cheese risotto with pistachio topping. This is a simple dish that is anything but simple in flavours, every grain of rice is flavoursome, coated with the richness of the wine and cheese, each cooked al dente with a crunch in the centre of each rice grain and gooey softness outside. They are... More

bland boring sandwiches and ok espresso. but if you're starved it works. note: the small sandwiches are the same price as the bigger ones. the desserts look good, but I don't trust it.

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
