The food was very good. Every one in our group enjoyed their meal. We had three different types of Pizza and the veal scallopini.

Enjoyed delicious variety of vegetables, pizza, and one of the best pasta e fagiole soups I've had. Very quaint, simple, and friendly.

I am a sucker for authentic Italian food and sor'eva does not disappoint. I arrived for pranzo/lunch and started off with a wonderful 'melone e prosciutto' = cantaloupe melon and ham; it was wonderful and cooling. Then, I had a local variety of lasagna -- tasty -- and reasonally priced. During the day, when walking, I don't drink wine --... More

True traditional trattoria, very good food, the best pizza I've seen in Rome, the shrimp risotto is lovely and the desserts are great!

A genuin local restaurant wiith a long tradition. We had a fabolous dessert cake and a nice white wine. Our friends were very content with a soup and sausages. The food is tasty with traditional dishes and good pizzas. The personal is friendly and welcoming. Many locals seems to be regular guests. The restuarant is near to the Vatican just... More

Food was first class pizzas and ravioli traditional Italian, plus a pannacota. Service was excellent there were four waiters who were very friendly. Cleanliness was good. Location is just outside Vatican City by the bridge. A good indication was there were lots of local Italians eating in there. The cost was 52eur.

My wife and I found this great little restaurant two years ago and we returned this past April. We ate there two of the four nights we were in Rome.Great location, not far from St. Peters, just the other side of the Gianicolo tunnel, heading towards the Tiber. The staff is very friendly and informative about their menu. They remembered us... More

Good, fresh local food in a really authentic, very informal setting. Good value for money...but there are many places in Rome like this. Not bad at all, with an eye to the tradition and very friendly staff, but it doesn't shine like the diamond of the famous song!

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
