Super friendly service & excellent food. Highly recommended for gourmets and gourmands. I had one of their pasta dishes, home made breads & a glass of wine. Will be back with friends to taste their truffle dishes.

I've been here a few times and I love it each time. Francesco, the owner, is always so welcoming and his knowledge of wine is amazing. He paired my white wine with cheese fondue AND beef bourguignon perfectly to my taste and the red wine...he recommended to my husband was perfect for him. We have been before, and I've been with friends and family visiting Rome multiple times. I'll go again for sure, it's one of my favorite spots! Thanks again for a wonderful evening, looking forward to enjoying the food and wine again.More

What a place!!!!. The food and the atmosphere are totally out of this world. If you like black truffles that's the place to go. It's not the type of restaurant where they try to get you in. We couldn't even see that was one, we...were just passing by. There was a sign on the door 'Ring the door bell' and we were lucky they had a table because it was totally booked. The place to remember for many years.More

We (me, my husband and our many friends) are regular customers of this restaurant. Francesco, the owner, is passionate about food and good wine, he is always of a good advice. In addition to that, him and all staff are very friendly. Now about the...food. My God, the food is just excellent. My favorite is beef with mushroom sauce but I also tasted the steak with truffles and it was delicious as well. We are always looking forward for our next diner at this amazing place.More

Taverna Lucifero is a culinary experience not to be missed. Just off Campo de' Fiori was so convenient as it is easy to find and was a block from where we were staying. I ordered off the Truffle Menu and I was in heaven. The...service was amazing!More

Traverna Lucifero was an amazing find in Rome. It is unassuming and quaint — you have to pay attention to street numbers to find it since it doesn't even have a sign out front — and the food was unbelievably fresh and delicious. The doors...opened at 7 p.m., and we were greeted immediately by the owner. Lilo. He was one of the friendliest individual we met on our vacation. He talked to us about the wine and the food, and before long we were all talking about random topics from vacations to the truffle season. He even invited us into his wine cellar to make a selection. The food was unforgettable! My husband and I shared an order of fondue, which was so rich and flavorful. It was like nothing I've ever had before. The dipping bread was delightful and the vegetables were cooked and flavored perfectly. I'm not sure how, but we did manage to fit in dessert. My husband had the special of the evening — three small ricotta and cherry tarts — and I had the panna cotta. They were out of this world. I cannot imagine I will ever find panna cotta that is as creamy and delicious as it was at Traverna Lucifero anywhere else. And when it was time to pay our bill, it was much less than I expected for the service and quality we received. So on top of phenomenal meals, I feel like we also got a great value. You must eat at Traverna Lucifero. Just make sure they are open for the season before you go because they do close during certain times of the year.More

If you want to eat authentic Roman food, have dinner here. The vegetable antipasto tasted like my grandmother’s and they also specialize in truffle dishes. Fantastic restaurant and is a hidden gem. Lelo is a great host - let him suggest dishes and wine and...you won’t be sorry.More
