We had the owner pick and we were not disappointed. Excellent food. The truffles shaved freshly on the spaghetti was amazing. We tried 4 desserts and they were all lovely. Highly recommend. No pictures because we were eating too fast. Next time

A true italian experience. Impressive even after the high expectations. Everything was fresh and tasted perfect. The owner was very nice, always checking in on us as if we were long time friends. Truffles are a must. To top it off, the owner gave us...some Moscato and cabtucci as a compliment. We will definitely return!More

Came here based on a recommendation of a friend. I'm glad they told me about Lucifero. Just an excellent, excellent dinner. And we loved the coziness of the place. The owner has quite the personality and fun to be around. Sadly, Rome has too many...great restaurants and we wanted to try them all or else we would have been back here for a second dinner during our short time in Rome. It was that good.More

Came here 7 years ago during honeymoon. Then again in 2018 and now in June. - gets better each time. Setting is modern and intimate, truffle pasta and steak are awesome. Got 5 courses and 4 drinks for 70 Euro. Will be back again....

Dining experience at this restaurant was the highlight of my trip to Rome. Simply the most amazing food I’ve had in a long time! Its a charming small restaurant, but feels very comfortable, intimate and cozy. I made a reservation but missed the confirmation due...to some issue with my internet. Reached the next day without a reservation, and obviously this being a famous place was fully booked. Francesco, the owner, was kind enough to accommodate me. The food was delicious, I tried the truffle pasta; and the flavour, taste, and aroma was out of the world! It still lingers on and I long to come back. The dessert was unique, visually appealing and yum. Dessert wine was complimentary. And all through while the service was warm, friendly and top class. As if that wasn’t enough, Francesco offered me a discount without even asking for it. The meal and the experience was priceless.A culinary experience here truly made my day. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I am definitely coming back.More

We stumbled across this restaurant by chance and went in based on the excellent online reviews - it didn’t disappoint! The quality of the food was excellent and we were extremely well looked after by the proprietor - it felt more like visiting a friend’s...house who really wanted to make sure you had an enjoyable visit. The fondue was a great starter option and all of the food was well conceived and presented to a high standard. The wine choices were off the beaten track and extremely good. If I could award 6 stars, I would!More

Not only was the food exceptional, but service was also very good - friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices and an excellent wine selection. The fillet mignon with fresh truffle was magnificent and accompanied with perfectly roasted potatoes. The chocolate mouse dessert was sublime with the...dark chocolate sauce and fresh berries. Highly recommended.More

This restaurant in Rome is one of our must returns. The food is always wonderful and since we love truffles we have them with every dish. Homemade pastas and really good meat selection. Francisco is an great host and will personally walk you though his...wines. Definitely should be a stop for dinner when in Rome.More

This is the place if you want soft fillet with truffle. The place doesn’t have a wine list, which I found odd. The vegetable dish was good, not mind blowing. But the steak….. That was mind blowing. My friend wasn’t a fan of the Dijon...and congnac sauce. A bit too tangy for a cream-based sauce. Perhaps stick to the truffle one? The owner treated guests to Apertif and some cantucci. The restroom is very clean. The owner is very friendly. He speaks English superblyMore

Folks, I cannot lie: we ate here on our 2nd Italy trip years 9 ago. BUT it was so much fun, that I just made a virtual revisit to Lucifero (means "Satan") yesterday and was thrilled to see that it hasn't changed! And I have...NEVER before given a taverna 4 stars. Lucifero is in a semi-basement, has perhaps 20 tables & bar (+kitchen and the world's narrowest restroom stalls!) crammed into a pretty tight space. But it's a true winner! Boisterous staff, very tasty food -- including lotsa fondues, not your typical Roman chow but GOOD --, great drinks, lively but well-behaved crowd, a short walk from Campo de Fiori. Check it out, I don't think you'll be sorry.More
