Been to Osteria del Pegno a handful of times...each time has been a great dining experience! Went today for lunch with my kids - tremendous! Reasonably priced, the food is great, the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff friendly.

Honest, good-value osteria in the heart of Rome's Centro. Quiet, non-tourist ambience. Recommend the seafood paccheri pasta and the zucchini-potato antipasto.

Great little restaurant near piazza Navona, with delicious food. Manager and staff were friendly and efficient. I had the seabass. It was wonderfully cooked, covered with paper-thin potatoes. Restaurant was packed. Reservations needed!

This place is easy to walk passed and is tucked in a small lane but it's worth it. Behind piazza nevona this place has authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Make sure you book as its popular with the locals.

Find this on trip advisor and searched it out. Thank goodness. Best meal so far in Rome for us. Owner is very accommodating, as restaurant was full with reservations, but got us a table. Great food, great specials and the prices are unbelievable for the quality of food. Ossobuco is out of this world. Don't miss.

You feel you've stepped into a time machine with the decor, but that only adds to the ambience. From start to finish, a great meal. First stop, the bread basket, which had beautiful wholegrain rolls filled with parmesan and other good things, plus chewy olive bread, and other wholegrain rolls. Plus some standard breadsticks. Next, we shared an entree of... More

Not far off the many tourist haunts, 5 minutes from Pz Navona, but strangely in no way a tourist trap. Good food with some different dishes seems to be a Campania influence, but I could be wrong. Prices mid range and excellent house red and white by the quarto. I would go again and would not hesitate to tell friends... More

We had an excellent dinner at this osteria. We tried many restaurants in Rome and this was our favorite. The suggestions of the chef were to die for. Excellent food. We felt a bit pressured by our waiter to end our dinner.

A beautiful place inside. Not for large groups much more intimate than most places. Food is delicious and staff is very attentive. Love everything about this place! Start early to find it is tucked away!!!
