Da Bucatino is probably one of the best places to eat traditional Italian food. We had our best fettuccini of our lives. Apart from fettuccini the lamp chops, starters and tiramisu were perfect as well.

Bucatino was a recommendation from my friend's friend, who grew up in Rome and it lived up to every expectation and more! The prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella appetizer was amazing. I got the spaghetti al ametricana. When I saw my friend's cannolini I was jealous, but my pasta ended up to be the most amazing bowl of spaghetti I've ever... More

This was an accidental find; Sunday lunch with the most delicious roast lamb, pork and beef on the menu as well as many other traditional Italian delights. Great service and good value.

Putting egg and margarine in the calzone was disgusting and my little boy is allergic to egg so could have been very serious. Extremely disappointing.

I went to this restaurant last night to having a quite catch up dinner with my friend. We wanted a nice dinner in our home city. We had a look on the trip advisor reviews and we chose to go there. The place is really typical and authentic, which is good as its placed in one of the most famous... More

Heard mixed reviews about this restaurant. Upon walking in we was shown to a small room on the left akin to a cupboard. Although the decor was old it seemed authentic. Looked at the menu and was struggling to find anything which i wanted. Ordered the lamb and potatoes and my husband ordered the calzone with a side of salad.... More

Called here tonight after the restaurant we was in last night was closed. For.me the inside was lacking atmosphere, mainly because we were stuck in an alcove away from main area. Service was nice the gentleman great. But had far nicer food the night before at a fraction of the cost. Menu was not as good. Called for cake on... More

Great traditional Roman food. We were invited but some friend to experience a traditional Roman food. The place was packed with locals so you need to make a reservation but the food was amazing!! I strongly recommend this restaurant. Grazie!!!

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
