Good pizza, reasonably priced and a good walk back to town to work off the pizza. Love finding off the beaten path places to eat.

This is where the locals eat and the price and quality of the food reflect that. We had 2 pizzas Gorgonzola and capricciosa - thin crust (how we like them) and delicious. We also had 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of water €31.50...all in. Service was good, friendly and prompt. Highly recommended!More
This marvelous evening-only pizzeria in Testaccio is pretty popular among Romans, Its simple refectory-style decor and amusingly surly service should not put you off - the pizzas are marvelous and very good value. Worth a detour. It has a mostly local clientele but draws savvy...tourists from the centre too. EnjoyMore
Every time we are in Rome, we try to eat at Nuovo Mondo, a very informal restaurant; With football t-shirts on the wall and hard overhead lighting, it is not a cosy place but the food is good, especially the baccala, suppli and fried eggplant...flowers. Most famous for their pizza's it is a good and busy place for a quick meal.More
It takes some getting used to dining in Rome. We arrived at Nuovo Mondo a little after 6:00 p.m. No one else was there except some employees. We were seated and given menus. Next thing I see is our waiter and a few other guys...walking down the street. We then noticed on the menu that they open at 6:30. We sat unattended for almost a half hour before he came back. Then we were waited on by a different waiter. Much of the staff did not speak English, but we're in Rome, so not a huge surprise. The pizza has an extremely thin crust and is uncut. It is made to eat with utensils. The pizza was large and tasted very good. It seems that Italians each get there own pie. As per the European way, you don't get your check unless you ask. (Il conto, per favore). There is a register where you pay. A surly man didn't seem to appreciate my attempt to ask if that is where we pay. There is outdoor seating. The inside is not air conditioned so there's no getting cool inside.More
Too bad that the owner is a scammer, because this pizzeria does actually authentic Roman pizza. But, be aware of your bill! Items that I did not order, increased my bill by 50%. Went to talk to the boss, who didn’t apologize, didn’t even believe...me and insisted me to pay for things I didn’t order, which unfortunately I did. I should have called the police, but was overwhelmed by the first time I got scammed in a restaurant. I very very rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience just gave me a horrible and unpleasant after taste.More
They have the best pizza in Rome! The food is very good and cheap, plus very friendly waiters. We didn't know that Pizza Parmigiana was the best pizza out there. We also wondered how aubergine (eggplant) tastes like on pizza since a lot of locals...were ordering it. Their restaurant is very homey. We will definitely come back.More
Everyone has their favorite pizza place in Rome and Nuovo Mondo is mine. Our neighborhood (Testaccio) is home to some of Rome's best pizza, the Nuovo Mondo leads the pack. It's thin, crisp and well portioned. You come here for the pizza or pasta but...I also recommend the baccalà, a local specialty of fried cod. It's right up there with the pizza. Staff is wonderful and the service is quick.More
Friendly service. Asked for an outside table, needed to wait about 15 minutes but they invited us to wait inside while the table was prepared. Gave us all a free glass of Champagne! Felt more like we were at their home!
Good restaurant and Bar the menu is in Italian only a budget eatery, with a local touch and cuisines. Every thing is served fresh from the oven.
Family restaurant with genuine food. Polite and nice staff, quick service and cheap prices. If you like local food or a good pizza you will be satisfied. I recommend it.
Good food, good service... Good price... This is where the locals go so that tells you it's good... Not fancy, just good quality at a good price... Wood fired pizzas etc
I went there with couple of friends for dinner. Service was slow, waiter wasn't guess service oriented, in general service was below average, food quality was just ok.
While looking for a place to have a dinner, we've suddenly discovered this gem : simple and fresh pizzas (ruccola w/ fresh tomatoes one was gorgeous) , delicious suppli and sufficient wine carte makes it a great stop during our Roman adventure !
This is an unpretentious, simple restaurant with excellent food, and very friendly staff. The fried starters are particularly good - especially the fried courgette flowers, the baccalà and the supplì. It's the sort of place where you won't be asked to quieten down for laughing...or chatting loudly; it was full of Italian families and tourists who must have had it recommended. The pizzas arrived quickly, and were large and tasty. Our waiter, the one with a ponytail, was very friendly and charming.More
