After a few days of Italian cuisine my family and I were eager for something more exotic. We noticed a number of Indian restaurants in this neighborhood near our hotel. Mother India had the highest Yelp ratings so we gave it a try. We loved it! Delicious appetizers and entrees, perfectly spiced, beautifully presented. The servers were so gracious and... More

Off street did not look good. But once inside a complete different atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and talkative. Food was excellent. Each dish was a different flavour and different spices used just as you would do at home. Asked for a couple of extra spicy dishes and were served exactly as you would have them at home. We truly... The place is walkable from colosseum. Serves very tasty Indian food at reasonable cost compared to Rome standards. Veg paneer dishes were amazing. The ambience and staff are very friendly.

This restaurant was amazing. Great ambiance, great service and for sure great food. They accommodated to all our needs. It was a great break from eating Italian food all day long.

Every can driver seems to know this restaurant's location. Close to all the city's attractions, offering genuine indian cuisine for a palate saturated with cheesy Italian delights.

We had lunch here as a family. We are big fans of indian food This was quite average. Rice portions were plentiful while dishes themselves were quite small. We asked for 6 popadums and were given 6x half popodums and charged for 6. The nans were smallest we have ever had. But we were in Rome not the UK so... More

Two meals taken here during our European tour. Buffet arranged far inside the restaurant to accommodate the number of persons in a group tour. Food was nothing special but did satisfy taste buds. Service was slow especially for the rotis which meant there were umpteen people waiting for it at any point in time during the course of the meal.

The food at mother India is ok. We had better and worse indian food before. My husband took the menu and I the paneer tikka massala. The owner (?) Of the restaurant was not very friendly.

I visited last month with my family. The food was very average - a bit too oily for our liking but the staff were courteous. Good for a quick bite!
