This place was appalling. We spent three weeks travelling around Italy, ending in Rome and this was by far the worst service we experienced. The waitress was curt and impolite, barely engaging with us. She forgot to bring us our wine and after waiting for it for about 20 minutes we eventually asked for it. She offered no apology, hardly... More

We apologize to you for the lack of service. We provided to scold the waitress who served you and to improve our service. We look forward to hosting you again with a careful treatment. More

The food is decent and the service is okayish. The waitress was very stressed at peak hours, but she came around at the later hours. in my opinion Travestere has more to offer at a lower price.

The food was ok,octopus salad lacked flavour however the spaghetti carbonara was good the service was ok I can understand previous comments made regarding this. Nothing spectacular but it was a hot day and we were hungry it served its purpose.

Food was really good and the place is lovely in nice part of Rome, Trastevere. However, the stuff is very rude, not friendly at all and not helpful when you ask some questions. The service is bad and slow, each of us 6 at the table got food served with 15min distance. Not likely to recommend or come again.

The restaurant is in a good location. Nothing else is good! The food was poor - we had a miniscule portion of lasagne. The food was brought out so far apart that we watched each other eat an entire meal. The wine was clearly cheap and nasty, despite costing 24 euros (we actually bought 9 euro supermarket wine after that... More

We came back to this restaurant because the food (spaghetti carbonara and pomodoro) was delicious however this time around, we didn't find it as great as we remembered and served much less in quantity... But still good I guess.

Food was lovely and so was the wine shame service let it down. Our waitress was clearly having an off day. Shame as it brought the experience down.

Our waiter (Massimo) tried to tell us they were out of house wine and get us to buy 20 Euro a glass wine. It went down hill from there. He was rude and slow service waited 45 minutes for the check. Upset my wife and made for bad experience. Food was only OK can find better close by and cheaper

Thank Michael J

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
