This is an unpretentious restaurant which serves reasonable food at reasonable prices. They are very accomodating with a pleasant wait staff.

What a treat to be able to go a restaurant in meat-loving Italy and be able to choose anything on the menu knowing that it will be vegetarian! So much choice too and very high quality cuisine. Meal was delicious.

My wife and I went here for a birthday dinner treat, we were not disappointed! A 7 course vegan tasting menu for €50 per head which just got better and better- starting with a small bowl of broccoli soup with a selection of home baked breads (an olive focaccia being particularly oily and comforting) and leading up to some absolutely... Having been tempted in by the very interesting-looking menu we were disappointed to be told that the only food available was a buffet for 15 Euros a head. Our disappointment didn't last too long, though, as the selection of the buffet was excellent and it all tasted amazing.

Like other satisfied customers here, we had the full vegetarian taster menu and enjoyed creative, beautifully presented and flavourful food. OK, it wasn't quite vegetarian food as Brits might recognise it: few vegetables and an awful lot of cheese (presumably the vegan offer is different) but maybe that comes from it being veggie interpretations of traditional Roman food? Whatever, every... More

We are two meat eaters and yet were drawn in by the fabulous looking food on people's plates. Opted for the €15 3 course buffet. Food and choice was sublime. Extremely enjoyable birthday lunch, would definitely recommend.

We were looking for something different for dinner on our last night in Rome. In walking back from the Spanish Steps to the apartment we had rented, we passed a sign advertising the Il Margutta Restaurant. Since we are vegetarians, we are always on the lookout for something special. We made reservations for later that evening (reservations always recommended) and... More

Wow what a great restaurant. I truly love this place!! We went for Valentines dinner which was 8 courses and I've never had such a great experience dining out. Service was impeccable, food was a work of art and taste blew my mind, fellow diners were a lovely crowd and there was even a fantastic singer. Also it was great... More

My hubbie + I ate here last night. He's a meat eater but agrees every now and again to indulge me. He was very impressed. The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere. The staff are all really obliging and happy! This is rather unusual in Rome. We shared the Margutta menu. The food was delish. Our favourite out of the... More

For vegetarians in Rome seeking a change from the usual pasta fare, this is a must-go place. Food was overall good, but very variable. Mixed appetizers included were very good across the board. Onion with parmesan sauce was quite probably the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. Pecorino in crosta di pane was rather bad, no taste of pecorino... More
