Like some of the other reviewers, we were given a coupon for a 50% discount since we were guests at the hotel. We chose to eat here on our first night, primarily because we were exhausted after a long day of travel and wanted something easy before we collapsed into bed. Drinks were tasty, although a bit expensive and not... More

Dear valued guest, we are sorry that you're not like our Gragnano bronze die pasta with prawns, white beans cream and mint, usually much appreciated. The shrimp are Sicilian from Vallo mazzara that are so tender and if you try to cooking it they heat only with contact in few minuts. The wines are indeed noble and DOCG, and the... More

This tourist-trap of a restaurant serves up the worst faux-Italian food in all of Rome, with service to match. Don't be fooled by the pleasing décor and photos of classic Italians enjoying mouthfuls of delicious Italian cuisine - those photos are not taken of people enjoying food from this miserable American chain hotel restaurant. The food tastes like it came... More

Pricey restaurant at an even pricier hotel... Italian food is best served in 'hole in the wall' places like Alice Pizza or Pastasciutta at the Vatican... this 'full service restaurant' was quite average... we tried several dishes over several nights since we stayed at the hotel... really? this was italian food?

I had dinner at this restaurant last week at an outdoor table and was disappointed with both the food and the service. Being at the Marriott in Rome, I expected a simple but delicious pasta, not haute cuisine. What I got was just so-so. The drinks, aperol spritz and chianti were fine. And, it was a good outdoor location for... More

Dear guest, I am sorry about the inconveniences you may have experienced and I want to thank you to point us about the service. I will take on great consideration your opinion to improve the service and to alert the staff to pay more attention. Regarding the other restaurant's customers there is nothing that we can do and also about... More

As part of our stay at the Marriott, we were given a discount coupon for dining, so we tried their restaurant (good marketing, Marriott!). Very nice meal and relaxing atmosphere. Live music (singer with guitar and backing track) with classic lounge feel.

We went here as part of our welcome dinner with an Insight Tour. The staff were very friendly. There was someone playing music and the food was good.

Description
The Cabiria, the gourmet setting of the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora, is the realm of chef Luigi Sorrentino. The culinary journey starts in Naples but then moves on to the other Italian regions according to the season. Is it the right time for aubergines? So then it’s time for the special “paccheri” pasta from Gragnano served with aubergines sliced into thin strips and fried until they are golden, “pachino” tomatoes dried, salted “baccalà” cod and Gaeta olives. The inspiration comes from the season and from the colours of the day. A rainy or grey day means more color on the plate. And the Gulf of Naples shows its influence even on the shape of the food. The “Faraglione” is a flan made with almonds, chocolate vanilla ice-cream and nutty “gianduia” sitting on a kiwi sauce, and always makes guests think of Capri’s famous Faraglione rock

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
