I have wanted to eat here for years. I even used to live around the corner and never tried it. There were always such long lines and I can be quite impulsive in my dining choices. Yesterday was different. My friend was staying at the...More

We went 2 times. Reservations were required during the week. I don’t believe they take reservations on the weekends. The food is esquizito! Seriously, I think I saw 2 angels eating here. I never imagined Italian food could taste like heaven. The cost was typical...More

First, the greeting at the door was abrupt and rude. Worse than that was the food...this is Italy. Food is wonderful in so many places....simple and fresh. Here the food was overloaded with spices, sauces and ridiculous flavor combinations. Do not order the veal meatloaf...More

My wife and I ate here twice during our week in Rome, and we loved it. The service was excellent and friendly, and more important the food was outstanding. The cacio e pepe con tartufato (truffles) was to die for, and my wife loved the...More

Mediocre food and inattentive waitstaff. Please see my attached photo. We ordered the caprese salad to share as a starter and were given a rotten tomato. I was highly offended that they thought it was acceptable to serve this to us. I was truly disgusted...More

Close to the Coliseum, this restaurant has gluten free pasta and rolls along with gluten full. It was very tasty. The service was a bit slow but they were packed. Best ravioli of the trip.

We couldn’t get a reservation for dinner but were able to get a table the next day for lunch when we walked in at around 1:15pm. The prosecco was crisp and refreshing. The burrata bruschetta was knock-out delicious; the burrata is clearly homemade and it...More

A family run restaurant known for its high quality cuisine. La Taverna offers a wide variety of pasta (and gluten free choices as well). The wine list is very reasonable and service is very friendly. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I have only just seen your question. This restaurant is close to the colosseum. I would say from the Trevi fountain it would be a twenty minute walk.

Honestly I don't know. They are very family oriented, so maybe not open on Christmas...I would call them.
